What I expected to happen was...:
Boat to float normally as seen on the 1.7.4 picture.
What actually happened was...:
Boat was almost completly sunken in water.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a boat
2. Place it in the water ( there is a placement bug, so you have to jump to place it MC-47637)
3. Embrace the derpyness
EDIT: Boat is lower than usual. When you place a boat on land it appears to be inside the blocks

why did you post a pocket edition image?

This is once again an issue in 15w41b, could it be reopened?
Confirmed for 15w41b

In 15w41b my boat looks fine until you get into the boat then it 'sinks'

15w42a, still not fixed...

Confirmed for 15w43b and 15w43c

Confirmed for 15w44a and 15w44b
I've described a technique for resolving this issue here; http://imgur.com/a/xxOUw
It utilises glColorMask() and depth buffer to cap-off the inside of a boat to disable water rendering inside it when the water is underneath the lip of the boat.
Fixed for Future Version - 1.9

still happening in 15w46a, please reopen

it still reproduces in 15w46a.

Can confirm it still occurs in 15w46a. Spawning the boat in water does nothing but then opening your inventory renders the water inside the boat again. After exiting your inventory the water is still rendered inside your boat until you destroy it.
See video I added

Also if you run the boat aground it fills with water.
Also, launch the boat, get in, row away from land then get out. Look away and then look back a few times. Sometimes it has water in it, other times not. (15w46a)

Can confirm; still not fixed in 15w46a. Se attached screenshot 2015-11-12_18.45.41.png. Please re-open.

Attached screenshot from 15w46a, my boats always has water in it, not on land of course, but... Still not fixed.
P.S. Found some strange render bug that occurs even on land, attached screenshot for it too... Sorry if there's topic for it, but I think it's related.
Confirmed for 15w46a
Would also like to add, looking at your player in certain angles make your body disappear. Should this be a separate ticket?
