This is happening at 16 chunks.
(At more than 20 chunks, Minecraft stops loading world and crashes, when I click in Save and Quit to Title).

Please force a crash by holding F3+C for 10 or more seconds and attach the report here.

My settings (sorry I'm spanish) and the crash report.

Broken Intel graphics drivers, see MC-58760

The 32 chunks still bugged and lock the burden of the world and also to Java, making crash.

Wait, this is not happening in 1.8 but happening in 1.8.1 ?
Please provide screenshots with debug screen (F3) enabled of the same location in 1.8 and 1.8.1

Yes it's happening in 1.8.1, that's the reason why I put 1.8.1 and not 1.8 and 1.8.1 in Affects Version/s. Here you have the screenshots with F3.

I have the same problem, please fix it, it freaks me out

This glitch is making the game unplayable. Has anyone found a fix for it yet?

I had a similar problem with a Intel HD Graphics driver update. I am now using version 10.18.10.3621 after rolling back the updated driver. However, problems remain that may or may not be related. Here are the update details:
Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Installation date: 11/27/2014 7:26 AM
Installation status: Succeeded
Update type: Optional
Intel Corporation Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 software update released in September, 2014

in the debug screen the majority of the chart in root.gameRenderer.level.terrain is render_cutout or render_mipped Cutout

I'm getting something similar but seemingly worse - http://imgur.com/a/9uCj7

Increasing allocated RAM/changing graphics card may fix the issue. Otherwise lower your render distaance.

bob, that one is for AMD drivers only. This is for Intel drivers.

Whatakes this one valid and the other one invalid then?

As I said before, that one is for AMD drivers only. This is for Intel drivers.

@unknown: See Varilence's comment in MC-62958:
The mods probably did check themselves to see if the drivers resolved the issue for them as well, though they may not have explicitly stated that. I know I had it, and updating to the beta drivers resolved the issue for me. The drivers being in beta is beside the point in any case, as the fact that one of the fixes listed by AMD in their updated drivers was to solve this issue indicates that the issue was primarily on their end. This takes it from a bug report for Minecraft to a bug report for AMD's graphics drivers. Hence why this ticket and similar issues are marked as "invalid".

This has been a problem for me since a forced update to Windows 8.1, and have a short video to better show the issue (especially prominent at around the 2:20 mark). I also have a forced crash report from a moment after ending the recording. I hope this is of at least some use in validating, understanding and eventually fixing the problem.

I have been getting this issue on my machine - is it any help for me to also provide another forced crash and/or environment details, or has enough been gathered?
Intel HD Graphics 4000 version 10.18.10.3958 as well.

Any updates on this? Sorry... I'm not too sure how these bug reports work so if I'm asking a redundant question, I apologize. I just don't want to play v1.7.10 anymore! 🙂
BTW: That YouTube video posted by Philip Nixon is exactly what's happening to me.
P.S. ~ It sucks to be paying for Realms and not being able to use it as well... 😞

Unfortunately, there have been no new drivers released yet.

Solved in 1.8.2-pre1.

FeliGM, I have temporarily replaced the reporting user because with every update you do, you send out mails to everyone following this report.
I'll change it back later, but please decide on something instead of replacing it every 30 seconds.

Yes, sorry xDDDD. It will not happen.

I can confirm this issue appears solved in 1.8.2-pre1.

I too can confirm this issue appears to be solved in 1.8.2-pre1. I just got a few hours of play in without chunk flickering at all. Smooth game play!

Let's see of it works then!

That's what I said Matt Johnston.

And they tried to tell me it was a gpu issue! How comes its fixed in 1.8.2pre-1 huh? huh?

This is FIXED? I WAS PLAYING 1.8.2 FULL RELEASE AND THIS HAPPENED ONLY WORSE THAN THAT!

@@unknown Then you're having MC-58760

I have this issue, but I don't have Intel. I have AMD Radeon HD 6670 (not really sure what it means). Can't really find a solution for it anywhere.
