Steps to reproduce
In a large grass place (flat world is good for this) spawn a cow.
Leash the cow, then walk backwards, pulling it with you.
Repeat steps (1) - (2), but with a baby cow.
Expected result
You hear grassy footstep sounds, and the occassional moo.
Actual result
From the baby cow you hear some grassy footseps, but also some loud wooden or metallic clunk. You hear more of these when it is closer to you.
This is weird and I do not consider a major bug but thought I would report it. On several occasions now I have encountered naturally spawning baby cows with their walking sounds replaced with an iron golems stomp. These have all been near a village and at first I thought that a golem had spawned underground and that was what I was hearing. Digging revealed no golem and careful observation of the calves proved they were the source. Calf takes step and 'thump'
On a possible related note (sound again anyway) I have also rode fairly long distances in a completely silent minecart. This seems intermittent though.

No resource packs. As to how to reproduce?? Go to a village, find a bay cow, and see if he sounds like a golem. Might not, like I said its only happened on occasion.

Okay, got lucky enough to actually get a video clip of the calf/golem stomp but I can't upload it (it's 27 mb and there seems to be a 10 mb limit)
I’ve noticed something like this on PS4 as well. I’m not sure if it’s an actual iron golem sound, but if it is, the adults have it too. I think it might just be the sound effect for cow footsteps, and this is just the first time I’ve ever paid attention to it. But, the baby cows’ footsteps are quite loud, louder than the adults, even. I tested it by just going in creative and spawning in cows until I found a baby. Just pushing it around got the sound effect.
Confirmed on iOS.
From a bit of testing pulling cows on leashes, it sounds like the pitch of the footsteps is being determined from the movement speed, so you hear more thumpy, cracking, pounding sounds when the baby cow is nearest to you. The same pitch effect can hear from the adult cow but it is not as dramatic.
This may be related to the problems with mobs' leg animations not scaling properly with their movement speed (MCPE-71004, MCPE-66557, MCPE-88245).
Do you have any resource packs in use? If so, exactly which ones, and does the problem occur if they are removed?
