After freshly installing MInecraft and signing in with xbox live the game could not be loaded a second time as it gets stuck on the loading screen at 46%
The only way to get it working again was re-installing at which point you could sign into xbox live and play once but the next time you loaded the app it would stop at 46% again.
We connected the phone to a pc and had a look at adb logcat. After restarting the app several quick times in succession we noticed the following message was coming up quite consitentley
cat ~/s20logcat2 | grep -i webview

So suspecting webview we cleared the data for the webview app and the issue still happened.
But when we then tried uninstalling the updates to the webview app (reverting it to factory version) Minecraft started loading.
Altough this could point to an issue with the latest webview version itself it is still very much a bug on your end that causes your Minecraft app to hang instead of dealing with the invalid state gracefully. Perhaps may point to an incompatibility with the latest version that needs fixing your end.
Also, A quick google search shows others are getting stuck at 46% too not just us.

I'm having a similar issue on Switch as this except the game load stalls at 45% on the Mojang Studios logo. Takes between 15-20 mins for the game to get through whatever content is in the 45% loaded area and progress normally.
Other players consider the Ender Dragon to be the final boss of this game, but for me, it is the Mojang Studios screen.
I attached a screen grab to this report. This is what my Minecraft 1.17 experience looks like now and probably for the forseeable future.
Please fix this as it pretty much kills the game before it even gets to be played.

Also an issue on PS4 per https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/o4nfm6/help_minecraft_loading_stuck_at_45_on_ps4/

my switch gets stuck 45% also Mark. i wait 10-15 minuts and it loads to 54, then 75, so on. Seemed to intenstfify with the downloading of more packs?? ⚠️

I'm having the same issue on Win 10, haven't been able to get the game working again for a few days (even after reinstalling) which is odd, as I managed a few dozen sessions in the latest update before it started. Although, my game simply crashes rather than hanging for a while like others.

On the newest Switch version of Bedrock, 1.17.10, issue still persists. Black screen that takes a few minutes to get past, then the Mojang Studios screen which takes a long stall at 45%. After a few tries at playing the game it seems to be on average a 25 minute hurdle.
It'd be nice to enjoy the newly added candles in Bedrock but I guess I'll just stare at the Mojang Studios screen all day instead.
I've never played another game that is so broken that it takes the better part of half an hour just to get to the title screen. Fix this.

for me, the game screen is completely black for a few minutes, then goes immediately to 45%, then 54, then goes up gradually to 100%. completely ruins the game for me.

Same problem here. Stuck on 45%, and I have to wait 45min-1hr 4 the game to load.

I bought Minecraft for Windows 10 about 2 weeks ago and I'm still unable to play. I'm running a gaming PC with an RTX 3060 and I installed the nVidia raytracing pack. It ran once and now Minecraft crashes when loading - ALWAYS at 46%. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted, tried to run Minecraft first thing after rebooting - all with no luck. Windows is up to date (build 2004), nVidia drivers are up to date 471.41.
Is this issue going to get any attention?

Noticed a few people have mentioned running an RTX card, I run a 3060ti with nvidia software, wondering if that has anything to do with the issue. I'm on windows 10, having the same issue where the game stops loading at 46% and crashes every time. Got it to work last night by uninstalling and re-installing/updating java, but the problem is back now the next day. This may be relevant also, Audacity was another app that crashed consistently when loading in and then worked last night just like bedrock edition after the Java temporary fix. My java edition of the game works fine, but not WIN10 version. I cant tell if its a graphics issue crashing these apps or a runtime broker issue keeping the game from loading. Saved to stay updated.

Looks like it may have an issue with the Sonic Studio III audio software that comes with my ASUS motherboard?

FYI - This is 100% related to Sonic Studio III, at least in my case. By uninstalling Sonic Studio and installing just the basic sound drivers, I was able to get Minecraft to run again.
My suggestion is to look in Event Viewer, Application logs and search for Minecraft to get a better idea of why it is crashing. That will put you in the right direction.

Nick, Mike, I don't think it's either Sonic Studio or RTX cards causing the problems as this long load issue affects multiple platforms including Switch and PS4. Maybe those aren't helping things on PC but the wider problem is the game itself. It stalls on seemingly every format.
On a different note, I don't run resource packs for Bedrock other than whatever the game runs on by default and the only customized things I use in game are the store bought character creator shop items, so I'm not so sure this load issue bug is related to resource packs either. Again, it's possible that they aren't helping but the bug still affects people who aren't running them.

Hi guys, I seem to be having a similar problem as all of you. Ever since the 1.17.10 update on my Samsung Galaxy phone (Android 11) I haven't been able to play the game or even start it. In my particular case, the loading time always stops on 68% and doesn't load even though I left it on for literally 2 hours. I have tried everything from Force stopping Minecraft, clearing the app's cache and even tried messing with the Android WebView app as I've seen someone commenting it could somehow be connected to the problem. I really have nothing else to do but to try and delete and reinstall the app which is my last resort since I don't want to lose all of my worlds.
If somene could please help me, if they have had the same problem and somehow managed to reslove it, I would greatly appreciate it.😄

Marko: please create a new ticket or search for one for your issue. This ticket is specific to the the long wait at the particular spot.

My Nintendo Switch will stop at 45% for 21 minutes. So everytime I schedule a playing time for me to play Minecraft with my friend, let's say it's at 3:40, I have to start loading at 3:19. I'm having the same problem with worlds, it takes about 6 minutes with a texture pack.

I resolved my issue, for windows 10 version on PC at least. Sonic Studio 3 was where my issue spawned from. I recently installed voicemod for my mic and it was interfering with Sonic Studio III - causing Audacity and Minecraft, when loading in, to crash, always at 46% on MC. This is only for PC obviously, but I resolved my issue by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Recording (Second tab in new window) > Scrolled to Microphone (subname: Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer) > Properties > Device Usage: (set to: "Do Not Use This Device (disable)"). I then set Voicemod as my primary recording option.

Switch version 1.17.11, issue still persists.

I also have the same problem on Android. The loading screen freezes at 46%. I had to reinstall it and it worked for the first time but at the second time, the problem appeared again. I don't know what's wrong with that! 😔😔😔

Some more observations that I've made, hopefully to help narrow down what's causing the load screen issue-
I've tried running the game on a different Switch user profile (on the same Switch Console) with no Microsoft/Xbox Live account attached to it and it seems to clear the load screen with no issues, but the MAIN profile I play on, that is connected and signed into an Xbox Live account (along with all my worlds, achievements and item purchases) struggles with this. I don't have any resource packs or mods running.
Perhaps the loadscreen slowdown is getting caused by an issue with Save Cloud data and the cross connectivity with XBox Live? That seems to be the only difference between two profiles I have running.
On a broader but possibly still relevant note, I noticed that playing on a totally fresh file seemed to make other aspects of the game load faster- I don't get the long black screen (different issue, I know), the 45% loadscreen stall and the item shop loads in preview icons properly whilst the MAIN file that I've been getting load screen 45% stall issue on also has slowdowns in other areas so this 45% load screen problem might just be one aspect of a much broader problem to do with the way the game handles save data and profiles that have a substantial game history. This might also explain why uninstalling and re-installing the game hasn't worked for me when I tried loading in my main profile.
The temporary work around would be to play on a different user profile but that is not an acceptable long term solution for this issue as I want to be able to play on my main profile with all my worlds, achievements and item purchases.

I have the same issue here. I'm on Android 11. This never happened before on my end, all of the sudden it just got stuck on the loading screen at 46%. Beta seems to load fine though, but not the current stable release. I hope they fix this ASAP.

On Switch update the system, it fixed for me!

Switch system updated today (vers 13.0.0).
Tried my main account that had been having the 45% issue, and it seems to work a LOT better now. I had a small amount of hang time at 45%, somewhere around 30 seconds which after a couple of tests seems consistent. 30 seconds is a lot better than half an hourish! Progress, finally!
Hopefully this isn't an issue that comes back full swing on a different Console update. I'm wary of considering the issue to be fully resolved as I've yet to see Mojang itself release an official fix so it seems more like luck that the Switch update has made Minecraft load up properly again. Can't speak for how it runs on other formats.

Yup it works for me too! Seems it has mostly been fixed. For now...

Updated switch, and now works for me as well. I'd stay still a little sluggish on the black screen, and I was stuck at the 45% loading page for a little but, but now it loads at all! Updated info as follows:
Nintendo Switch Version 13.0.0
Minecraft v 1.17.11, cartridge
Save game size 1.1 GB (lower than the 2 GB that I've seen mentioned in comments.)

Affects 1.17.33

I might have a solution for windows 10
I solved it by:
-pressing WINDOWS + R
-typing: services.msc
-pressing enter
-scrolling down to Windows Installer
-right clicking
-pressing start
-opening minecraft
it could solve your problem
P.S.
don't worry if it stops at 46%, after a while it should continue loding
I only had to start windows Installer once, after I started it, I open minecraft and it worked normal again.

I have this problem occasionally for years. My workaround is disconnecting from the network and restart game. I guess sometimes it's stuck because it's doing something online

If you are experiencing a similar issue like this, where loading is stuck at 66% after the 1.19.70 update. Please see MCPE-168284.

still affecting in 1.20

Hello, I usually play Minecraft of pc and I also have this issue but it is not for an hour usually, I usually have to wait 2-5 minutes just for the game to load pass, 40-46%.

1.20.40 Switch OLED, Game Card
Virtually no difference since 1.20.1, but now the game has a chance to crash when transitioning between the black to loading screen & the loading screen to the main menu.
I'm usually patient with this, but this is becoming quite infuriating.

Please note that this issue is specific to loading stuck at 45-46%. It is not a catch-all report for long loading times or being stuck loading at any given point. I have removed multiple comments that described different issues.
In particular, this issue should not be confused with loading being stuck at 40-41%, which is tracked at MCPE-175138.
The 45-46% issue seems to be related to the webview app based on the description above.
The 40-41% issue seems to be related to sound settings based on comments on that report.
