Pistons teleport blocks instead of moving them smoothly

Pistons seem to be teleporting instead of smoothly moving the block. This used to not be the case in older versions of the game, including java this bug also has some terrible side effects such as possible epilepsy due to the block in font of piston flashing. normal case scenario, the block would move smoothly to target destination with no white flashing instead of teleporting to target and flashing.

SIsilicon

Can confirm that this affects the latest version as of writing 1.19.0.33 (Preview, Windows 11).

Edit: Too be more specific, the block instantly teleports like in the video, but it no longer flashes.

To whom it may concern: this may be presumptuous to say, but have you guys not played the game and have at least messed with it's features - like Redstone mechanics? Of course it's still a bug and it still exists because you guys haven't fixed it! We do not need to spoon-feed everything for such a simple report in particular, but sure be my guest then.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a world

  2. Place a piston or a sticky piston

  3. Activate it with a lever or Redstone power

Observed Results:

It looks laggy and doesn't mimic the smoothness of the piston block movement similar to that of the Java Edition.

Expected Results:

Piston block movement should be smooth and is pleasing to look at, as gameplay overall more matches to that of the Java Edition.

Affected Versions: Bedrock Edition 1.17.x, 1.18.x, 1.19.x Preview and Beta

If I remember correctly, the smoothest it could get was in the very first public beta 0.15 (beta1) and in 1.16 release.

Although the issue of block flashing white had been resolved, the block still shows no sign of movement except for teleportation. It can be considered bad experience, because it gives no visual guidance for whether the block is moving or not, and/ or in what direction the block is being moved towards.

This ticket has not been resolved yet.

The new beta has been partially fixed. The block still teleports once the piston pulls back so it is not completely been fixed.

Can someone upload a new video showing how the new version "fixed" the issue?

migrated

I've uploaded "Minecraft 2022-11-29 23-31-59.mp4" screen recording, and surprisingly the bug seems to be fixed, at least for me. (seems to be deleted)
