Allays attached to fence posts break their leads and cannot be led back

Allays leashed to a fence post in 1.19.2 have suddenly popped off the fence post after upgrading the world to 1.19.10 and will not, after leashing them follow the player holding the lead, thus breaking the lead after the max distance is reached.

This is caused by the new feature allowing Allays to easily travel between the nether and the overworld. For whatever reason, whether in another chunk or leaded, when the player enters the nether and the allay can't the allay becomes broken. This also happens when a world from an older version is loaded in a newer one, especially on a realm.

This bug can be temporarily fixed by removing the item from the allay's hand, punching them, and giving the item back. This is only a temporary fix, as the player entering the nether will cause it again.

Can confirm @Spook_Lass's observation and workaround.

Additionally, the Allays, even those with items, seem to wander as if they aren't linked to the player

Hello @Weronika Szajnfeld,

apart from the World being 400+ MB in the backup I do not feel comfortable with sharing the world publicly for everybody to download. What is the way to securely sharing the world with the team?

I also have been having this issue in my shared realm.  I had 3 that were tied up fine until I went into the Nether. Once I returned, all their leads had broken and they were no longer following me (with our without the lead).  One I even tried to tie up in my house and it went through the wall of my house and broke the lead once it was far enough away outside.

We noticed this same behaviour on our server.

I had leashed 4 Allays to fences and they were fine till I went into the nether.

When I went through to the nether another server player mentioned that they had all broken off their leads and were heading off in random directions. I returned from the nether and we tried to catch them all with leads how ever they would not follow us while being on a lead and would continually break the lead. This only happened after I went to the nether as previously I was able to lead one over to another spot on the map without it breaking the lead.

Still unable to attach lead to Allays in 1.19.30.20.

This error has not been solved in 1.19.60, if you are at a considerable distance for the allay follow you this one will not follow you if it is tied to a leash, but it will follow you if you disconnect and re-enter, the coordinates where the allay was tied when I disconnected was at 304 64 92 and where I disconnected was at 245 63 45 this I know because every time I leave the world I make a backup.

 Steps to reproduce:

1.Create a world with the seed 933362424

2.Put a fence at the coordinates 304 64 45

3.Summon an allay, give it an item, put a rope and tie it to the fence

4.Teleport at the coordinates 245 63 92

5.Leave the world and re-enter

6.Go where the allay is

The observed result:

The allay follows you and the leash breaks.

The expected result:

The allay does not follow you and the leash does not break.
