Even though I have the latest version of the game on my Xbox, it still keeps saying I cannot connect to my home server and keeps giving me an outdated client error even though it shouldn't as I have the software fully updated as of today the update was released.
This shouldn't be happening, I've had to explain to friends who play on the server from Windows PC for weeks now why the server is non operational and it is because of client based errors, nothing to do with the server machine itself. I've tried replacing the bedrock server application on it along with a backup of the world file, nothing helped.
Could we please have a fix for this? perhaps a patch later on? because of the way bedrock edition works, outdated client errors shouldn't be happening because bedrock edition of the game has automatic updates on when you attempt to do multiplayer or use Xbox Live.
I'm trying to be patient with this one, but when you use a software provided you've got a computer suitable for it, it should just work as intended. When small errors like this block our access to the server, we can't help but be bothered by this, and while I appreciate the safeguards against corrupted save files and what not, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot built in to compensate for errors relating to blocking people's access to servers they're whitelisted on, causing issues like this one, anyway thanks for your time, I hope for a solution soon, if not I'll have to consider taking my server down, it's useless otherwise.

Did you check if the console client's version is indeed 1.19.xxx? I tried to connect with an "up to date" XBox yesterday just to see that it was still on 1.18.xxx.
Only reinstalling the game was resolving the issue for me.
On Xbox I have 1.19 but it didn't help me, as for Windows PC, I would do if it would let me reinstall the game, now for some reason it won't let me,
I've even checked for corrupted system files with the sfc scannow command on my PC, that didn't fix anything either,
while there doesn't appear to be a problem with Windows 10 itself or the way it handles apps, there is a problem
with the launcher failing to reinstall the game and other people are having the same problem, the outdated client issue
isn't just happening with Xbox it appears, it's every platform I've tried. I'll just have to wait for a patch,
there's nothing anybody else can do at the moment.

Yeah it works now, I managed to get Windows 10 edition on PC working this morning, I had to cancel a failed install on MS store,
then redownload the thing, but now the client errors are completely gone.
Im on pc (bedrock 1..19.10) and cant join xbox 1 server on 1.19.2. xbox1 says theyre up to date and no updates are available for them.

Does this issue only occur on Bedrock Dedicated Server or it can be reproduced when connecting to friend's Local Worlds/Realms?
I'm not entirely sure what a local Realm is, but I (playing on PC) had no issues joining my friend's local World (playing on Xbox 1). Our Realm leader plays on Xbox 1, but we have people playing across all platforms, and none of us have been able to join the Realm for about 48 hours now. Everyone has the most recent game version available.
What exact version is shown on the main Minecraft screen at the lower right?
It should say 1.19.10. This is later than 1.19.2, and not the same as 1.19.1.
It may be necessary to log out of your console and/or restart it to get the update to start. Be sure to wait for the update to finish before launching Minecraft.
If you do not have the version 1.19.10, you will (correctly) get an "Outdated client" message if you try to join a server, realm, or player-hosted world that is using a later version.
