MCPE-181102

Player head animation is different

Since 1.2.0 (Better Together Update), player head uses different animations in 3rd person camera, as the head will instantly snap to camera rotation (the animation used on alpha\beta version of Java Edition), while on 1.1.5 and below, player head has a slightly delay (or lag behind) before finally matching camera rotation

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to 3rd person back/front

  2. Move your camera around

Expected results:
Player head has a slightly delay (or lag behind) before finally matching the camera rotation, just like in Bedrock 1.1.5.

Observed results:
Player Head instantly snap to camera rotation.

Note: This is not the same issue as MCPE-129268

Not entirely sure why you'd want there to be a delay here. To me, having the head's rotation in sync with the crosshair just makes more sense.

While yes it make more sense having the head to be in sync with the camera (which is a little buggy cause by MCPE-129268/MCPE-120005), it look much better with the delay

It's right to sync your head with the camera,
Otherwise, you'll be treated by players who don't aim with the crosshair doing the following
"I don't seem to see you, but I can knock you over"

A player who does not use a crosshair to aim

It can tap its finger elsewhere on the screen without seeing the player

This is even worse if you don't have your head in sync with the camera

If you can make your head look like it's not in sync with the camera, others can see that your head is in sync with the camera, and that's fine

@luojin573281 i don't understand what you're saying, your wording confuse me.
also please keep in mind this only affects your heads animation and not your interaction, like how it works in Java Edition and BE 1.1.5.

there's no crosshair in 3rd person so it sort of has to snap where you're looking or else you won't be able to know where you're placing blocks

@unknown again, this only affects your player head animation (visual only), and will not affecting your interaction with the world when on third person, if you ever play Bedrock Edition before better together update or Java Edition you will understand what i mean.

Thank you for your report!
