Bad Omen isn't replaced with Raid Omen when going near a village

on realms and servers, when drinking a bad omen potion (I-V) near a villager instead of giving raid omen for 30 seconds before a raid starts, it does nothing except make the noise when it was supposed to 

when u already have the effect bad omen on you before u get within range of a villager the effect just disappears without doing anything

also bad omen V on a personal world does the same thing as bad omen is doing on realms and servers

expected result: gives you bad omen and if ur close to a villager gives raid omen for 30 secs then starts a raid

actual result: does not give raid omen at all

if it does help the realms and servers are using addons specifically ones the owners made themselves

Happening on a BDS server, we do have addons but I have made sure they are updated to match vanilla (mainly player.json).

Waited for much longer than 30 seconds in multiple villagers, nothing happens.

I could not reproduce this in a brand new world, could one of you upload a world in which the effect doesn't trigger?

For those affected, do you experience MCPE-182758 on the same world?

One of my friends on the same realm has been going round to trial chambers last few days no issues. I got them to try starting a raid using some of the bad omen bottles i collected.  with no effect you stand outside the village the effect shows but as soon as you enter the effect goes with a sound effect but no raid or raid bar

After doing some troubleshooting I have some information that helps. First, both foxynotail's 1 player sleep v1.2.0 & bedrock tweaks larger phantoms cause the bad omen to disappear without giving the raid omen effect. So my guess is other behavior packs are causing the same issue.

Also, the way to get raid omen is different than it was to get a raid. "Raid Omen appears when a player with Bad Omen enters a one chunk radius surrounding a chunk with a villager and a claimed bed, bell or job site. The effect has a duration of 30 seconds."

That's from the wiki. So the villager has to be in the same chunk as a claimed bed, work station, or bell. Which means chunk alignment on farms is a must. And villages with odd terrain potentially can't start a raid without moving beds and workstations around.

@unknown I was unable to reproduce the issue in the world you provided. The raid began as soon as the bad omen effect wore off.
Edit: Upon re-importing the world and drinking the ominous bottle, a raid immediately began even with the Raid Omen effect. Strange.

yes it is very strange sometimes itd work sometimes itd do exactly this a raid  immediately begins even with the Raid Omen effect, and other times itd not work at all

on realms and servers it wasnt even doing that

I have had the same issue, not only in my realm but other creative/survival worlds. The effect just disappears and does not get changed. Raids in the trial chambers do work, just not village raids 😞.

What resource or behavior packs do you have active? Everyone in the communities I'm a part of that have had this issue found it was caused by packs.

I am having this issue still. I have disabled all resource packs so it is unrelated to resource packs. this needs to be resolved.

The only resource pack I have that might be affecting the Raid Omen not starting is the Markers Pack by FoxyNoTail. I'm not sure if it affects player.json but thought it might be good to note here.

I have had this issue on both my realm as well as a creative copy and a new world that hasn’t been a realm as well all times without any addons or resource packs.

@jamestm2070 I looked at your video, you're sure there are no texture or behavior packs active? Because the bad omen affect isn't even popping up, which is a common issue with a lot of outdated packs. And have you tried setting up an area away from an established village to test it?
