Happening on a BDS server, we do have addons but I have made sure they are updated to match vanilla (mainly player.json).
Waited for much longer than 30 seconds in multiple villagers, nothing happens.
I have had the issue from a world downloaded from a BDS server.
The server is running Ubuntu and my pc is running Windows 11.
For me, it was not a flat world. The file size of the world is just over 750MB.
EDIT: Since posting this comment it has also happened to a custom flat world, which as far as I remember has never been on a server/realm.
Fixing this doesn't make sense, and I'm sure most people never even saw it as a bug.
Mobs such as Ghasts, Ravagers, Elder Guardians, Horse, Slime and Magma Cubes all can ride boats. In fact, other than after this bug was fixed, the camel I don't think there is another mob that can't ride boats. Despite (as just mentioned) there certainly are bigger ones in the game.
Furthermore, lots of players use boats to catch and transport mobs. Whilst yes you can ride camels, not every player may have a saddle yet. Being able to put a camel in a boat allows you to save it for later if you don't have a saddle yet (although due to other bugs they will probably despawn from inside the boat anyway).
This still happens in 1.19.51 for me.
However, and this may be a seperate bug (I can make a seperate report if necessary) I have only noticed it happening when the pack is in the development_resource_packs folder. Not in the normal resource packs folder like where packs are put into when they are automatically imported.
Also, the pack I used only modifies the json UI, not any texture files yet I was still getting a content log error of a missing texture.
This happened to a server I admin on, running BDS.
I loaded into the world on my local computer in singleplayer to see what the issue is,
The memory usage goes up to the max (for me 16GB) and the world struggles to load the corrupted chunks. When it eventually does load, its like the world is in a crashed state where you can't interact with anything (break or place blocks, sleep, open chests etc) in any chunks, not just the corrupted ones. If you then try to quit the world it will get stuck on the "saving game" screen, and RAM usage will once again max out. I then forced closed Minecraft, reopened the game and tried loading into the world. It got stuck on the building terrain screen and the loading bar would not move. I tried loading into the world multiple times but could not.
When a world is corrupted this way on a BDS server, the server will not stop forcing you to have to force close it. It will also not let players join, and instead will get stuck on the "locating server" screen. Sometimes after a few forced restarts it seems players are able to join the world, but like in singpleplayer how I described earlier, you can't interact with anything (break or place blocks, sleep, open chests etc) in any chunks, not just the corrupted ones.
This is a major bug that needs fixing ASAP!
I have had members of a server I play on experiencing this bug on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. When we used to play on a realm, everyone in a specific area would freeze at the same time. We recently switched to a Bedrock dedicated server and now only one of us freezes at a time. I have not experienced this bug on a single player world.

This sounds like an issue with obs or your settings, I am using the latest version of OBS Studio, and have never had this issue. Try resetting your settings to default in obs?
This bug has happened twice to me now, once when I was using beds to go Netherite mining, and another time when a ghast shot me whilst I was on top of a nether fortress. I the destroyed the roof of the fortress for a fortress farm, and the fire was still there (I kept flying into it with my elytra. Eventually I made a creative copy of my world to see what was going on. This video was taken in 1.16.210, in a world with fire spread off: https://youtu.be/DdLZDgq8E2w
Do you mean it is just taking a while to load? I have found that mainly after the latest update the game takes longer to load than normal (especially on lower end devices).
I thought the biome type of villager you get depends on where the villager is born in that biome - not its parents. So if you breed 2 plains villagers in a jungle you will get jungle baby villagers. I might be wrong but I thought this was an intended feature?
I can confirm its still in 1.16.20 and it literally just happened to my realm 😞. Thought this was meant to be fixed in 1.16 but apparently not
This seems like a MASSIVE oversight from Mojang, especially when (as far as I’m aware) the new UI elements cannot be modified with resource packs so we can’t even fix it ourselves.
