Blaze Spawners continue spawning blaze no matter how high the light levels are

When in range of a blaze spawner it will continue spawning blaze even when the spawning area is lit up by lava.

My blaze farm used to turn off when i turned the lava on now blaze just continue to spawn.. they also seem to be spawning outside the spawning area as the area around the farm gets full of blaze after a short time of being in range of the spawner. It also causes quite a lot of lag and unless I turn my render distance down to the minimum the game is unplayable around the blaze spawner.

I cannot confirm in 0.17.0.2, can you provide a screen shot of your set up?

I'm not really sure how to add a screenshot but I'm using ethos blaze farm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrtcJ4c_6oQ)
it was working fine until 16.0.. The same thing was happening on my realms blaze farm.

I cannot reproduce the issue you are describing.

Please can you confirm that the spawner has a light level of >12 in the 9x9x4 area around the spawner?

Please add screenshots of the setup. (Choose 'More' then 'Attach Files' in the options above)

You might want to refer to MCPE-13550 to see if your issue is the same (insufficient lighting)

pre 16.0 blaze would not spawn when the lava was turned on... since 16.0 and in 17.0.2 they still spawn with the lava coming down I have a blaze farm on another server and the same thing happens that never used to happen before the update.

Also, if 6 Blazes are confined in a small space, the spawner will stop spawning them. But if they wonder away from the spawner's detection, then the spawner will spawn some more in.

I am having blazes spawn inside or immediately next to glowstone blocks. This seems to be only at one corner of the spawner's area though. For example, the entire area is lit up, but blazes are still spawning inside a group of 3 glowstone blocks only and no where else.

This issue still persists or at least I noticed it first in version 1.18.30 on the Win10 platform and it's still happening in version 1.18.31.

I light up the area around the spawner with four flowing lava columns, much like the screenshots. Similar to Travis Painter's comment, I noticed the Blazes spawn somewhere inside the flowing lava. Maybe the light levels inside the blocks are not set properly (assuming that Blazes spawning in lava is intentional)?

I have that issue happen in all my worlds where applicable (i.e. where I have set up a spawner trap), which is:

  • a flat world with a spawner placed in creative mode

  • a world ("Winding Rivers" seed) with a naturally generated spawner.

Both exhibit the exact same behaviour.

 

Edit: I uploaded two videos I recorded earlier. Both showing Blazes being spawned inside lava columns.
