Can you reproduce this in a local world, or only in the Realm world? Were these villagers once zombie villagers?
This report is being set to Awaiting Response. It will be reopened when the requested information is provided.

Same issue. The immortal undying villagers also causes huge lag spikes untill they all respawn.

I have this issue in my singleplayer world. I can confirm it happens all the time. Not just with save and quit, if I unload the chunk, the changes to the chunk's entities are not saved. I'm not sure if it happens to all entities, I haven't seen it with villagers.

About my previous comment, I should probably mention that in my world, I have many, many villagers in a city. It is enough that I need to lower specs to play smoothly. This bug seems to happen only in the most densely populated parts of my city. I lowered my simulation and render distance but it did not fix the issue.

It would be helpful if we could get a copy of an affected world. For those experiencing this issue with bees or other animals, do you have villagers in the same area?

I would be more than glad to give a copy of my world (which has some great stuff as bonus) but I play on mobile and I've no idea how to access my world files, if that is even possible. Spawn some 200 villagers, all with beds and professions, and you might have similar conditions and maybe even replicate the bug.
My friend told me it could be "lack of RAM" but to save and quit is a process that can take as long as it is needed, so I don't believe that.

My own bug report (chickens won’t die) was merged with this ticket. Here is a link to my world in which I experience this issue: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AkscAMJ_k7U4oJYkav4FD4FYxGh6KA
The coordinates of the general area of the issue are 703, 71, 192.

Btw if needed I have earlier worlds in which the issue just started. The linked world is kinda fubar with extreme lag etc. I experienced the issue both in realms and in normally saved worlds.

Just came accross this issue myself with a private server hosted world.
I have duplicate Bees spawining. I have removed the spawn blocks but the bees have started to respawn and also duplicate so there are far more bees than originally there. This is causing major lag at my base. If I move away from the base the lag dissapears. Not sure if there are other entities with the same issue but I cannot kill any mobs within my base to help alliviate the bug. When I asked the server admin to run a kill command on the bees the lag subsided (didn't go away fully) and the bees dissapeared. This kill command was run for 15 minutes and over 400 bees reportedly were removed, thats what the admin said, and it was still ongoing but I had to log off. Upon relogging the bees are back again and the lag is back to how it was before the kill command. These bees are in a villager farm if that makes any difference. The issue, for me at least, appeared after the last update.

@GoldenHelmet: to answer your question: yes, I have also villagers in the same area.

Oh this started happening to me again just recently. Actually, I was the one who posted the issue MCPE-188414 and the exact same thing started up again recently. I tried killing my chickens before saving but they still came back. Then I tried moving my chickens to a different chunk and saved. They were back at base and not near the new area when I went back. I even tried re-moving my chickens to another chunk then moving myself to a third chunk so me, my chick's, and my base were in 3 entirely different chunks. Still put them back. And had major lag so all those actions took forever!
Oh and also @GoldenHelmet I do NOT have villagers in my area. Just the magical zombie chickens, other animals that respawned, trader llama dude, big Garden not growing anything, 3 larger buildings (disassembled the faulty barn in hopes to reduce lag) and a bunch of storage chests

I have the same issue in my realm with sheep. It also causes a lot of lag every time I get close to the area.

We believe this is fixed in the latest preview. If you can reproduce this issue in preview please comment, and if possible provide a copy of the world that still reproduces the issue.

Yep I have this with 5 villagers and 2 cats

I've had this happen to leads, minecarts (and their passengers), hopper minecarts, tridents, boats (and their passengers), armor stands, and paintings. (1.21.51 Hotfix)

Tip: If you have mobs duplicating/teleporting back to their previous location upon relog, you can try put them in a boat.
In short, a temporary fix is to put the mobs in boats. Alternatively, if its an entity (e.g. painting, minecart, boat, ...), if you can find out where they keep duplicating, keep it there. For some reason, the game stops trying to duplicate it if there's an identical one already there.

To add a bit more context I'm having the same issue as `JojosTrueColors`
Our cow and sheep farm has glitched out with mobs being pushed upwards through the ceiling and out sidways.
It has resulted in a strange effect of 20-30 cows and sheep appearing on exactly a chunk corner on the same block and causing massive lag while they all slowly push each other off the block, making what looks like an incredibly slow animal explosion from one spot. Killing all the animals didn't work as they re-appeared when the area was loaded again. (Tried this twice).
The lag was so bad that it took about 60s to open doors or chests when close to the area.
It has now escalated so far that I can no longer log into the realm as it loads for ages then gives a "Disconnected from the Server" error.
Our multiplayer realm has become entirely inaccessible due to this weird mob glitch. Really hoping the update is pushed soon! (Playing on Xbox Series X so unlikely a low performance issue)

Is this still an issue in 1.21.60/61?

All of my affected mobs are once again behaving normally since updating to 1.21.60 so I believe this has been fixed.
