Vibrant Visuals: Poor visibility underwater with VV and Volumetric Fog enabled

When VV is enabled the underwater view distance is reduced compared to having it off.
I think this qualifies as a bug or at least an oversight because it’s a hindrance to anyone using VV and possibly gives players with VV disabled an advantage.

This the main contributor to this appears to be Volumetric Fog, as turning it off brings your visibility back up to normal

Reproduction Steps:
- Enable VV
- Make sure “Volumetric Fog Quality” is not set to “OFF”


Observed Results:
- Your visibilty underwater is reduced

Expected Results:
- Your underwater visibility would be mostly unaffected

Is this still an issue in the latest preview?

Yes but only if Volumetric Fog is turned on
And it’s much less severe
