Cannot Reassign Keyboard and Mouse Controls

When selecting the keyboard and mouse controls in the settings, the controls cannot be reassigned. (Tested on Android, presumably affects other mobile devices too)

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Go to Settings > Keyboard and Mouse

  • Try to reassign any of the controls

  • Tapping a key or mouse button does nothing

NB: This doesn't seem to affect controllers, and the keys can be reassigned on W10.

Tested on OnePlus One A0001 on Android 6.0.1 (CM13) and Samsung TabPro SM-T520 on Android 4.4.2

Despite the 1.16.230.50 changelog saying this works on any supported Android 8 and newer devices, it actually only works on Pixel 2 phones and newer (except Pixel 3 XL if the notch is disabled in Developer options), and OnePlus 6 and newer. Tested Samsung Galaxy, S9, Note9, S10, Note10, and S20 (all on Android 11, with the S9 and Note9 on Android 10), and Minecraft ignores the keyboard and mouse, despite other programs seeing it (even in Samsung DeX)

I was unable to reassign my keyboard and mouse controls on android. My mobile device is on Android 9, Huawei Y5 2019. Reproduced on the beta 1.16.230.52

in the current version 1.19.30 on Android 12 there is a spacebar bug with bluetooth keyboard & Mouse Control:

Steps to Reproduce:

as soon as you move the mouse cursor over a text field (regardless of whether it is in the inventory search field or in chat), minecraft no longer recognizes the space bar in the game.

you can no longer jump, fly, swim, or assign the button in the menu

The space bar is still recognized in chat and in the search field.

It can only be fixed with a restart until you move the mouse over a text field again. I'm playing on a galaxy tab s7 with android 12 with bluetooth mouse and keyboard. outside of minecraft the keyboard works fine.
