This bug also affects Java Edition; see MC-25512.
When I'm wearing a chestplate, it can be easily seen in both third person view and via the inventory screen that the sleeve of the chestplate covers the sleeve of my T-shirt. However, when in first person view, when the area of my arm that the chestplate should be (easily seen via punching) is viewed, my shirt can still be seen even though this should be covered.
To reproduce:
Equip any chestplate (I'm only using a full set of diamond armour so you can see that I'm still wearing the chestplate in first person view via the hotbar)
Punch something
It should be easy to see that the chestplate sleeve does not render at all, even though it should be.

I think it works as intended as Mojang never implemented armor showing up on sleeves on hands in first person view, if you focus, they haven't implemented the body as well because if you click you can see that the hand has litrally no connection.
Please surf the wiki for how things work before posting something as a bug.
...how is it my fault for not looking if the exact same thing has been reported for the java edition and nobody has complained?
Hi, Connor Steppie. As I see it, this isn’t a bug, but rather a feature Mojang just never implemented. I’ve played this game for years, and never remember seeing the sleeve of my chestplate on my arm. It would be pretty cool to see it when punching something, though. My apologies if I’m wrong, but it was never a feature in the game.
