Breaking blocks don't drop their items

When I broke the block, it did not drop the item, it happened with the grass block and the oak wood, PS: In the image doesn't show the text where it says which version it is, because of the texture I use

also affects MC Better Together 1.2.13 on my Xbox One.

Blocks don't drop, ore doesn't drop, ender chests don't drop, though, fortunately for me my shulker box did drop, and a bed did drop as well. Problem occurred with tool or no tool, and also with tools enchanted or un-enchanted.

re-logging resolved the problem til I entered the nether. Then I had to re-log again.

This bug occurs at random for me, but it occurs for anything. When I break a door, I lose the door. It doesn't drop a door item. When I made a new door and placed it one block too far from where I wanted, I broke it to place it elsewhere, but this door also didn't drop a door item. I lost that door, too. This has happened with dirt and obsidian as well.

I too have had this issue twice. After saving, quitting, and loading back in, I have yet to experience this problem again. I did notice that you do not retrieve the mined ore or blocks upon relogin. It seems that if you mine it without it dropping, it is gone forever.

Have experienced the same on a number of occasions - tile drops just stop showing up when you break anything, exiting and reloading the world makes tile drops work normally again but does not cause tiles that should have dropped to show up after the fact (once it's gone, it's gone).

I'm playing on a Realm, unsure whether that might be relevant.

Pulling back your bow, then switching off it without firing seems to cause this bug.

You can correct it by going back to your bow and firing it, or relogging.

@karadine, you may be correct, I'll have to test. I shot at ghasts in this time frame, so I can really see that.

EDIT: @karadine, your assessment appears to be the correct one. To replicate this, pull back, don't release but switch to another item in the hotbar. Mining blocks pops as if you were in creative. Release an arrow from a NON-infinity bow. If it doesn't drop like it is supposed to, shoot a second arrow and that one will "stick" so you can pick it up, and mining blocks will behave as expected.

MCBE 1.2.13.

Confirmed bug on Xbox One version.
Pull back on bow then switching to another item causes other blocks to not drop when mined, regardless of whether the correct tool is used or not. Firing a bow (infinity bow was used) causes them to drop again.

We believe that the same root cause (charging a bow without firing it) is probably behind this bug and MCPE-32335. You may want to watch both tickets in case only one gets updated.

Still valid.  Suddenly blocks ceased to drop for pickup.  How do I find my be version or other needed troubleshooting data?
