Crash when pistons move blocks

I walked back to my house when less than a minute later, it crashes. It stinks because my automatic farms requires pistons.

What is happening?

*When ever a certain amount of Pistons/Sticky Pistons (Let's say 10 or more) are activated and pushes blocks at the same time, the game will freeze and Crashes to the Home screen.
*Redstone clocks that uses Pistons are really having problems with this.

This happened to me on x-box one as well. It seems counterproductive to try to convince console players to switch to this version of the game when almost every aspect of it is different than the legacy versions. Plus, there are a number of bugs to deal with and wait to be fixed. You would think they would take some priority on this issue since piston pushing is an important aspect of almost every redstone machine. Very frustrating 😞

This happend to me in Minecraft Win10 too.

I tried pushing a conduit with a sticky piston and it crashed my game too!,when will this be fixed?

When ever I used my secuirty door red stone circuit with comparators and sticky pistons the game crashes.

After placing a sticky piston a button and a redstone block on the sticky piston it appears the game crashed upon actuation of the sticky piston.

The sticky piston appears to operate normally when the block is not attached to the sticky piston.

This is a HUGE issue Mojang. It's not just a little bug or a glitch - IT IS STOPPING EVERYONE, ON EVERY PLATFORM that uses pistons from playing. If you have any redstone contraptions with pistons that are running when you load the game, the game immediately crashes. There is no way around it.
Three days now and Minecraft is still well and truly broken. No upates from Mojang as to when it will be fixed. Nothing but a load of worlds that can't be played on.
Wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to go back to an earlier version, as you can with Java - but with Windows 10 Edition you are stuck with the version that the Beta system throws at you.
Fed up with Minecraft now and seriously thinking about ditching this version all together - and I can't be alone.

@simon that's why mojang tell us to buckup you world first before joining the beta.

@ Marius Reinard Tanghal - I get that, but even without using the experimental content enabled, pistons don't work! Create a fresh new world (with "Use Experimental Gameplay" OFF) and try it in creative (it brings a tear to my eye).
The only version I can download (without a ton of hassle) is 1.15.0.1, which is the version with the problem, and it's not related to ANY of the new content.
If there is a simple way to go back to a stable version, I would love to know!
As it stands, having backups or not, makes no difference - unless I am doing something totally wrong :/

Any platform that can join the beta can choose to leave it. The procedure for doing it depends on which platform you're using. For Xbox One or Windows 10, the Xbox Insider App has the procedure and instructions. For Android, I believe the Google Play Store has the instructions, though I don't know where.

Note that any worlds you loaded while the beta was installed can no longer be opened in the release version. That's why you're advised to take backups before opening them. Also, some Xbox users have had issues with losing worlds that were not synced to the cloud. Before uninstalling the beta, be absolutely sure that all worlds you want to keep have been synced.

[edited] Experimental Gameplay is meant to isolate the newest, riskiest content, but there was never any intent to suggest that the rest of the beta wasn't risky. A beta is not an advance release. You should not trust a beta with anything you aren't willing to lose.

Sorry and respectfully but you're missing the point. As it stands, Minecraft Beta is unplayable past the point of placing a piston. Period. As I said, it is not a minor bug or glitch. I really, really don't care about the saved worlds; what I care about is the fact that Minecraft Beta 1.15.0.1 has been BROKEN beyond reproach and has been for over three days. Any world that has a piston won't load. How can you contiune to Beta test a game that crashes the instant it starts? The Beta community do this out of the goodness of thier hearts, the love of the game, and the chance to test new features but when something is so fundamentally wrong with the gamecode and not fixed, then what's the point?

Pistons won't push anything for me, they can extend, but they can't push a block for some reason Google Pixel 2-android

This effects Windows 10 PC's a lot as it almost crashes systems with a BSOD saying your pc had a problem and needs to restart.

piston issue persists,
both type pistons can operate under no load, both extend and retract no issue.
any load placed on regular piston causes game freeze and crash.
any load placed on sticky piston causes game freeze and crash

Could you link MCPE-33072 to MCPE-33049 as related since the game almost tries to blue screen Windows 10 1709 and 1803 on tablets and PC's (mine is an Acer Aspire ES1-571 with intel hd graphics).

It seems to be related to this bug:
When i destroy a piece of redstone, a piston or a lever attached to a piston directly, or further down the line (while the device is not operational) it also causes the crash.

I have one farm currently in my 1.5.0.1 Beta World. It is a sugar cane farm. Can confirm it crashed when trying to push dirt, and has not crashed yet when pushing/breaking Sugar Cane. This farm has over 20 pistons.

When trying to build a second farm, tried to push both dirt and sand and both caused crashes.

Gonna test to see if Xbox One is affected since Windows 10 is affected.

@@unknown Feel free to try it, but xbox one is also affected by this issue.

Tested on Xbox One S, results were negative, no crash. Next test will be the title screen, results yet again, no crash. So Xbox One S isn't affected by this bug.

@@unknown Tested the issue again on a xbox one S, results in a crash to dashboard. Can you possibly show the way you are testing the issue?

I was testing it on a flat world and used pistons, a sticky and normal piston, I used a lever to activate the pistons and it didn't freeze.

@@unknown Thanks for clearing that up. There needs to be a block (or other push-able item) in front of the piston to reproduce the issue. The piston alone doesn't seem to cause the crash. It's when something gets pushed or pulled. (In beta release 1.5.0.1)

Could you link MCPE-33049 as related since it freezes computers running Windows 10 and some of us even have to reboot our computers.

The bug has no effect on breakable Blocks like Leaves, Sugar cane, redstone dust, torches and other...

If the experimental AND the Education mode is activated I can push and retract all Blocks except the pistons.

If I activate only the experimental or the education mode the game will crash...

If the experimental and education mode is activated the normal piston can push the blocks only to the west. All other directions (north, east, south, up and down) will crash the game.

The sticky piston can push and retract the blocks to the west and east (but sometimes it will crash the game).

Oh when I did the test to see if something would happen the pistons faced west.

I use sticky pistons for several of my 2x2 doors.  I cannot enter some of my important locations as the game crashes when I step on my pressure plates that activate the pistons.  Is there a resolution for this in the works?  I play beta on xb1 1.5.  The issue has been occurring since the last update.

This bug might be fixed on 1.4.0 when it comes on app stores in the next few hours.

Yeah that actually is the problem that I've had
