I don't know if it's a feature but if in case it's a ,bug if we stand on the edge of a honey block after crouching and then upon uncrouching we can jump 1 block high

This is probably due to the fact that a Honey Block is not a full block on all sides.Β This means that standing on the very edge of a honey block doesn't apply the effects of the honey block to the player.
The wiki states that: "Honey blocks slow down entities walking on top of them and prevent them from jumping." It does not mention anything about changing the jump height from the sides.
This is the same as in the Java Edition, I don't believe it should be changed.
Referring specifically to Java Minecraft,Β MC-1133Β is why Honey Blocks aren't sticky on their sides.
