Skin keeps resetting EVERYTIME I go of the game custom skin deletes and the new skin editor skins just delete aswell same thing happens with a few of my friends EVERYTIME we go off the game

I'm having this issue too (if I understand your "delete" to be synonymous with "reset [to default]") on all my family devices. About 6 out of 10 times launching Minecraft 1.12.1 and now 9 out of 10 times in 1.13, it resets my skin from my purchased skins (even those purchased from Minecraft). Most of the time I end up back at Steve, but I often also end up as Alex.
Very annoying... Definitely not buying more skins until that gets fixed.
My platform is iOS.
I'm having a fairly similar issue. It only seems to remember custom skins for me. Any custom character or skin pack skin always gets reset
On top of that, all 5 skin slots are reset as well. The 2 on the far ends always delete themselves, and the remaining 3 always reset to either Steve or Alex at random, with at least 1 of each every time
Also worth noting, the skin bug from 1.12 actually remembered your skin on occasion, maybe a 60% chance to reset, if I had to estimate. In 1.13, however, any skin pack skin or custom character, for me at least, has been reset 100% of the time. So if anything, this bug was worsened, not fixed
There’s a bug where in custom skins my friends get my custom skin even if they don’t have it and once my friends skin showed up in mine, and I’ve never owned that skin

Same issue on both XBox, Win10, and MCEarth. Customized skin will reset to either Steve or Alex and then has to be recreated. Honestly getting sick and tired of having to recreate what I look like. What is the point of having skins when we can't reliably use them?
Skin still resetting in 1.14 at least once a day. Most of the time it never loads on the title screen. I get to reload often because of all the fun crashing in this excellent version. So I get plenty of opportunities to test this bug.

Is this a custom skin you imported from a file, or one from a skin pack?
What I'm seeing is that a skin imported from a file appears to be deleted, with the profile skin changed on the main menu changed to Steve or Alex, but if you click the Profile button your custom skin is still there, and when you return to the menu it gets updated there too.
I think this is changed behavior. In 1.12.1 it was actually deleted.
