Character creator skins / items not loading

Sounds like maybe your internet is not connected? Character creator only works if internet is connected.

Further, if you create a skin, close the game, and then reload the game when internet is not connected, the skin will appear to be gone. If that's your problem, it is a duplicate of MCPE-53398.

I have the same issue after the April 4th update, the only skins I have in the creator are Alex and Steve. Internet is fine I did a speed check and got 100 up and down and 22ping

So just to be clear, the problem is that when you go into character creator, nothing in there will load no matter how long you wait? Or can you not go in at all?

Still a problem in the current update, the missing texture checkerboard will now sometimes display

Same thing is happening in 1.17.2 For Switch. I can choose options and they work, but the preview of those options on the left won't load. Makes it extremely hard to make a custom character.
