[MCPE-58601] World Making And Importing Issue - Not Enough Storage Space message PlayStation 4

Update on this issue:

We are investigating what might be causing this issue, but as a workaround, you might want to try deleting any old worlds that you don't want to keep, and also try clearing cached content using the following steps:

Launch Minecraft
Go to Settings→Storage
[media]
Delete any unwanted Templates or Packs

When I try to make a world or import a world, it says that I have not enough storage and that Minecraft has limited access to the storage, but I have 208GB left.

Can you please include information about the amount of storage space your saves etc are actually taking up currently? Both in the legacy version and in the Bedrock version of the game?

From PS4 Settings>Application Saved Data Management>Saved Data in System Storage

There are two Minecraft saves with similar sizes. One is 749.9MB and the other 539.1MB. There is also a Save Cache file that is 10.49MB but with a date of 12/14/2019 5:00pm. I thought this might have updated after deleting some of the other worlds in trying to fix this.

There are a lot (~30) other files under the Minecraft application. Let me know if you want to know about any of them.

My sons world is huge as he has spent so much time building it. Please let me know how I can help fix this and thank you for working on it Jay.

Yes indeed! At least on my latest version 1.14.20 for PS4 Pro in Sweden. 😞

Can´t seem to find any cache setting either to be removed. Now over 2 months of no playing since we mainly use the old worlds. Can we revert back somehow to older version?

Another update arrived without success. Also tried to Settings -> Storage but I only found 1 identified item which can´t seem to be uninstalled.

The only way for me to actually be able to play now is to delete older worlds which is not that funny when I don´t know which one is which. If I delete older world it´s finally possible to convert a few worlds.

The software is also dead slow. I still wish I would have skipped the larger update before 2020... 😞

2.02 update to PS4 I try to downlead map from marketplace I get not enough storage. I have 1 TB HDD Internal and its not even full. I one a external HDD is 8TB were all my games data go and only filed it up to 1TB with 7 TB lift over. Even I remove some market maps and still clamed its not enough space and the updates not even updating and not fining my skins tp the profile list and restating to Steve and alexia. My phone Samsung 7 age holds last storage and it holding all my market porches . My phone Samsung 7 age version 1.14 stop updating in the market to downloading.

Downloading Marketplace content is likely to be a different issue, and should be resolved by removing packs and cached content that you are no longer using.

Hi,

We (like thousands of others) have have had this issue since December and it is still not fixed yet.
We have 7 world packs on the PS4 version and are unable to download these or any new additional content on the PS4 bedrock edition, due to these ongoing space issues.
We have over 200gb free on our PS4 pro! Deleting old worlds is not an option, there are simply none that are not wanted.

When do you expect to fix this as it has been ongoing for over 6 months now and renders the bedrock/online version totally unusable for us.

Even more disappointing when you have children who can't play online properly with their cross platform friends during lockdown.

Can you provide an ETA of this fix please?

Try this mathed all badrock O this may not afackt servers. Stap 1.Save all single player worlds to cloud or backup. Stap 2 reinstall the game then go to market place down Lode what you bought if still showing updates. Step 3 go to settings then exit then should popup a box starting installing. Step 4 retrieve your single save worlds. If all works for peaches 1.15 and 1.16 and see update still showing do step 3 and good luck. (PS) yes I did all what I said except I don't save my single player worlds.

Thanks for the advice. Our version is 1.14.

If we copy all Of the minecraft saved data from the system to USB, will it definitely copy back safely and all of those PS4 worlds could still be played?

I can’t risk losing any of the saved worlds that we already have.

As long you save the world not the game it should work. 1.14.60 pach notes said fixt it. 1.16 is coming out soon likely this July it will brack most atofarms example fishing and 1 Auto tick farms. The nether world changing in 1.16. So saving save worlds on ps4 2 mathed go to Appication saved data management/saved data in system storage/Upload online storage or USB storage device/Microsoft/in here list of all save worlds. Retrieving save worlds same mathed but download. Windows 10 I can't save the world's. I started over on my ps4 and I didn't had good would's to care for but I now save and retrieve it back. I can't garaten all save worlds will work do to game changes. Good luck hopefully this helps you.

Thank you for your help, it’s been a successful workaround for our issue.
We can now play our old worlds and have downloaded our worlds and new content to the bedrock edition (all PS4)

Next a permanent fix is required from @mojang, so that we don’t have to go through this again when the storage limit is met again in the future.

For info, these are the steps we followed. (Before deleting and uninstalling, we found save game data was 2.6gb in system and 5.4gb in online storage)

Copied all saved game data from system to USB.
Deleted all saved data from system AND online storage.
Deleted minecraft (options / delete)
reinstalled minecraft (from game disk)
downloaded all our World packs in the bedrock edition
copied all game data back from USB to system

I'm glad it worked out for you. So far I haven't seen that issue yet and hope not when 1.16 on all badrock devices. I have 1Tb internal and 8Tb external HDD and all my game data is in my 8Tb external HDD. If still see update in market between now to next mager patch do the step 3 where you go to game settings and exit to game home sreem it should pop up and start downloding any up dates so far I don't have any issues any of my badrock Games.

1.16 brock my mathed on my ps4 it's storage space again and won't update and won't lat me add any new perching items in like cky block would's. Of speaking trying do a full reinstall. I poste any updates to my results. Hope when ps5 comes out this be nonexistent.

Update after I reinstalled game I laft out the minecraft ps4 Edison addons out do to don't infact badrock went into Marketplace downloaded each one I wanted to install back. I download each one separately cuz when I try try to install all at once it did not want it to download and installed but did not see no sign of storage issue so far. I hope this helps to all ps4 players. This was my 3ed time I reinstalled the game sints after the bee update. I wander if the storage tissue due to Minecraft PS4 edition because my phone and my PC does not pop up with these issues my phone has less storage space than any other and it holds as much as my PC. [If mojang teams planning making Minecraft for PS5 hope this issue will not exist on that device.]

This might help you all badrock Games on ps4, xbox, Nintendo switch, and mobile devices for storage popups. I did this 4 times now do to market place not downloading updates with meager patch's and after 1.14 pach haven't seen that issue about storage. If now where to go to access your save worlds out side of the game save somewhere else if want to keep your world. Example ps4 home sreem/ setting/storage/minecraft. Uninstall your minecraft off your device then reinstall the game back. If have done this since update 1.14 then you shouldn't see the storage popups. Theis sove the storage for download not responding that not fixed but I have found a way around it for now. In the game go to settings and exit to manemu it should pop up a box doing updates to the market store you one. Good luck to all of you.

very upset and irritated by this bug ... I got tired of deleting and installing the game, sometimes it works for a few hours until it widens the error, other times it appears immediately, I think the developers could give more attention to users in this part .. ..

On my PS4 I used to have a saved world before Village pillage and Village. as soon as the bees update came out I've been having a storage issue but when I reinstalled the game I had the problem when I try to retrieve my saved world I do get the storage popups then I deleted that saved world and reinstall the game again without the save World it worked fine I haven't seen the storage pop up since then. Some reason some saved world's don't work after the PlayStation 4 upgrade so you may have the same issue try without loading your saved world if it still have the same problem then don't know what too do to help you. I'm just another PlayStation Minecraft player trying to help others as much as I can.

However, this issue has been closed as Cannot Reproduce.

We were unable to reproduce the problem you are describing in the latest version.

If you are seeing the issue still, please make sure that you have removed any cached or unwanted worlds or marketplace content, including Bedrock and any of the previous Editions save. (Please make sure you have backed up any data you wish to keep.)
