Nothing real big, but sugar cane spawned in a new world will overlap leaves if a tree spawned right next to it.

It was on a random world, and broke the sugar cane because it's quite rare, i'll find a pic as soon as I can.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
I tested in the seed "Tomcc", as suggested in another comment, and created the world multiple times, travelling to the exact same spot as shown in the screenshot with the sugarcane generating through the desert village well. (You can teleport to this location with this command: "/tp 411 63 -365".) All the other sugarcane would generate in the exact same spots, which I guess means that sugarcane generation is determined specifically by the seed? However, the sugarcane that used to generate through the desert well never generates there anymore, so I think that is good enough reason to believe that this bug was fixed at some point between 0.14.3 and 1.0.2. Resolving as fixed. 🙂
Can you post a screenshot/seed/savegame?
