Steps to reproduce

  1. Watch mobs spawn naturally.

Expected result

Each mob spawns on its own block.

Actual result

Sometimes mobs spawn 2-4 all on one block, then split apart from each other.

Original description
I don't know if this is a bug or not, but mobs spawn on the same one block. It looks like multiple mobs going out from one. I see this very often and it's a weird sight.

Can you please provide a screenshot? Is this the only spawnable block in the area?

What happens is the mobs (like sheeps) spawn in a group of 3 in one block and just spit out because of mob collision. I don't know if it's a fault with the mob spawning or if there is just too many mobs spawning at once.

I've attached two video clips.

Affects 1.16.0.68 as usual 😥

Confirmed for 1.16.0

This is not a bug. When mobs spawn, they spawn in the same block, most mobs in groups of 2-4. This should be marked as works as intended.

We expect it will be, but we have a guideline that we don't resolve an issue as WAI unless and until we have evidence that Mojang has declared it so.
