My kids 8 and 6 start a new map.
as multiplayer is on, someone just logged in and destroy all what they have built with tnt.
so here is a list of bugs I see: (3 is the most important)
1)I was not signed in to my Microsoft account. so why my local map is even public?
2)I have only 1 online friend in Microsoft account, so this guy is sure not a "friend of a friend". how should he got in?
3) why new map is open by default, make more sense to have it closed, and open to network if you want.
4) if all above not considered a bug for you, and it per design. why I cant block this dude or even report this behavior?

nope. private home network.
also, that happened to me a month before with some other user logged in to my game. and it was a different username, so definitely external network.
Hello,
I don't work for Mojang but hopefully, I can answer some of your questions.
I believe at least to do local multiplayer, you will need to be logged into some kind of Microsoft account. Chances are when you started the game it automatically signed into an account.
Players can set their online status to Offline and still play/be online. Generally, multiplayer settings are set to Friends of friends.
You can submit that feedback to the website at feedback.minecraft.net.
You are able to block players. As I'm not familiar with PS4, the easiest way to block or report someone is on xbox.com. Log in, search their gamertag, and click block. You can also report on the same page but generally Xbox Enforcement doesn't respond very well with Minecraft reports. They really only take action if they have concrete evidence such as messages.
Hopefully, I have answered most of your questions. If you have any additional questions please join the Minecraft Offical Discord for answers and technical support. I will be requesting this bug report to be closed as this is not a bug.
Thanks,

@XFirePlayz: You do not need a Microsoft account to do multiplayer. You can do multiplayer over LAN. The toggle for a world to be Visible to LAN Players is right under the drop-down for Microsoft Account Settings in the Multiplayer settings of a world. I have never logged in to an account on my phone install of Minecraft, and I can join worlds on the PC in my house and download free stuff from the Marketplace. The PC can also join worlds run from my phone.
@Reg baba I can’t speak for why Mojang has made multiplayer enabled the default setting for worlds, but I would be concerned about the security of your home network or PlayStation settings. If a random person can join their Minecraft world then a random person could possibly do a lot worse things.
Reopening report as I believe it has merit and should be considered even if the original reporter is no longer updating it.
On the xbox I used to create a world with no problem. All of a sudden it shows an error about multiplayer. I don’t have online access for the games, I play locally, the pass options are way too expensive.
so now I have to go down to multiplayer, turn it off and then I can create a world.
when did this change and why?
how do i make it default to multiplayer OFF as it used to?
getting support online seems to be impossible, unless it matches one of half a dozen irrelevant options then you can’t progress. Presumably more cost cutting at MS.
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
