Comments

This bug is still present in preview 1.21.80.25.

In addition to the songs listed in previous comments and the original bug report, new tracks added to Bedrock Edition since are also affected by this bug.

This bug makes it so that the player has to re-adjust their Music volume slider in their settings on a per-track basis in order to hear some songs, or to not have the overall game-sound overwhelmed by others.

This is a parity issue, as songs seem more volume consistent on Java Edition.

This bug is still present in preview 1.21.80.25.

This bug is referenced, but not linked in the “Known Issues” section of 1.21.80.25’s Minecraft.net article.

This bug is connected to MCPЕ-57701, which details how a sort of unlisted night-vision effect is granted to the player in Bedrock Edition anytime they are under water.

With this bug, elevation affects the intensity of this night-vision effect.

This bug should be considered a parity issue, as this behavior does not exist on Java Edition.

This bug is still present in preview 1.21.80.25.

As detailed by above, this bug gives an unlisted night-vision effect to the player anytime they are underwater. It is connected to MCPE-84513, which also gives the player night-vision that directly coralates to their vertical height.

Time of day affects the intensity of the night-vision granted, regardless of whether or not the player is underground.

This bug should be considered a parity issue, because water does not at all behave like this in Java Edition.

Affects Preview 1.21.60.23. Obviously, this bug causes villagers to die more often to the night, and makes working with firm very difficult. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that all villages naturally spawn with path blocks. Maybe this should be flagged as a parity issue, as villagers properly utilize paths in Java?

A new observation  for this bug is that the time of day seems to affect visibility, even if the player has zero exposure to the sky. To replicate:

1) Create and stand in a player sized box with no light exposure.

2) Fill it with water

3) Toggle time of day between day and night

Inexplicably, it will get brighter and darker within the box.
