Something interesting I noticed, tested this with an HD texture pack on, meaning the normal cauldron is huge. The flat cauldron it gave me does take the appearance of a flattened version of the texture, but is not huge. It may not mean anything, but certainly interesting
A friend and I are both working on separate projects where slimes are spawning around us, I have confirmed that my project is in face in a slime chunk using chunkbase. However my friend has marked out all the chunks in his area and walled off the one where the slimes are spawning with glass, which is -47, 225 to -33, 239 however according to chunkbase, the actual slime chunk is at -63, 225 to -49, 239 so they are spawning one chunk to the east of where the slime chunk is and from watching them spawn, they aren’t just spawning and going through the glass either. Since my project is in 1.20 generation and the slime chunk was confirmed there, but the inconsistency is in older chunks, I wonder if older slime chunks got accidentally shifted somehow
These light sources do not affect mob spawning, I have watched hostile mobs spawn inside them on multiple occasions, so they are purely visual
I have a different texture pack having this issue every other time I launch the game on Xbox and it’s the only one I ever use: pure BDcraft
multiple people on the realm I play on have fallen through the ice path and died, though I mostly just have the issue of being inside a chunk of netherrack for a few seconds, I finally fell and was able to get a clip though my case was still less intense than the others have had: https://www.xbox.com/play/media/5HVGL2JK65
I started doing some work in the end today and noticed this happens every time I enter the end. There’s a map wall right by the spawn platform on this world, so I see it right away and each time, different parts of the map seem to be affected. I keep fixing it, only for it to go back to showing the overworld
[media]Having this issue on a realm as well. I have observed monsters spawning inside the random lights, I’ve tried placing torches near the lights and removing them to update the lighting but nothing changed. The owner of the realm said he did not see the lights whem asked and I thought the only difference was that he was the only one who had not been in the nether that night, but still observed random lights after restarting and looking without entering the nether. All of us are on Xbox. The lights observed are in areas of various generation versions.
Regular worlds affected as well, I have to continuously download the texture pack again when loading into the realm or my creative testing world. Everyone on the realm who is on Xbox is having the issue, even the owner
Having this issue as well, seems to be better when using the D pad to move vs control stick. I just built a new storage room and kept randonly grabbing the first stack in each chest back
Still an issue in 1.19.10, I am watching the zombie piglins in my gold farm wander around aimlessly and even passing right by the turtle eggs and not trying to get to them. They are eventually falling, but I have to sit there for a while where before the issue began, they would quickly fall after spawning
This sounds like what just happened with a friend of mine the other day on the realm we play on. He heard the suffocating during the long load screen and immediately quit the game. When he rejoined, his coordinates were the same, but in the overwold. Leading up to entering the portal in the nether, we were riding horses and I think we entered the portal at the same time. I asked if he ate or had his elytra active while entering the portal and he said no to both. The coordinates for ours was at -1544, 14, -7944 on the seed -1214045649
For some reason, changing controllers from default to Elite series 2 has solved this
I am still unable to put a lead on the specific horse I mentioned before, haven't had any issues with any others
There now appears to be a frozen bar at the raid farm as well, though raids seem to still be spawning in and completing correctly, showing that the frozen bar is only visual. The raid bar I am seeing at the raid farm also has no mobs remaining counter, but this one is filled a small amount
[media]I've gone through more trips between the same locations with both April and an unnamed horse and another member on the realm has done the same trip using another horse named Teddy. April is still unable to have a lead attached while Teddy and the unnamed horse can be attached no problem. I wonder if speed may be a factor as April seems to be the fastest of the three
I appear to be having this issue on the realm I play on. When the 1.18 update first came out, a group of us took horses out to explore and when we came back to spawn, one of the members, who had taken the horse, named Pizza, said he could not attach the lead back on the horse, but everyone else was able to tie their horses back in the stables just fine. Multiple people tried to tie Pizza and could not, even after relogging. Everyone ended up forgetting about it though. Today I went to the stable again and was reminded when I saw Pizza untied, but I was able to tie him again now. I took a different horse, April out because she is faster and now I am unable to tie April back in the stable. Both trips were several thousand blocks one way
A member on the realm I play on recently went through the ice highway in the nether with bad omen thinking he was going too fast past the area with villagers for a raid to trigger, but it did, except that the bar didn't disappear after killing the mobs. It's just an empty bar with no mob remaining count that sometimes even follows us around the nether. A few members have tried looking around for any mobs that may be left but none have been found. I think it may have happened because he loaded and unloaded the area so fast that the raid didn't have enough time to spawn all the mobs it needed
Replaced all the tridents in the trident killers on the realm after the update, they are now gone again.
We’ve had a drained ocean monument on our realm for a while now and mobs spawning inside has been a regular occurrence. We didn’t think anything of it until just now when a friend informed me that they are not supposed to
Previously, I was only encountering ghost chunks while flying, but now I’m loading into them when going through nether portals. Is this the same bug or a new one with the same effect? Each portal ghost chunk I’m seeing either puts me underwater or inside netherrack, but doesn’t cause any suffocation, although it did make the damage sound anyway on one particulatly laggy portal travel
