It sounds like it may be caused by the absolutely terrible autosaving in the game. It brings everything to a crawl and even to an unplayable state. But it is just my speculation.

Enabling local network and going back to online Network connections during the described issue also gives an infinite loading screen neccitating the restart of the game.

my main issue is having to restart the game so often so I can sign in. The connection error makes sense but not being able to sign in during an active connection is very annoying.

Steps to recreate:
-exit the game to the home menu (but do not close the game)
-leave the console in sleep mode for a minute
-Reenter the game and go to the main menu hitting sign in to nintendo account.
The sign in will fail and the text "Signing into Nintendo Account..." will sometimes appear or not at all.
The Nintendo sign-in process should be stuck from there and not resolve itself.

This is also on switch and is extremely infuriating!

This was in Switch also, although the skins loading in slowly or not at all is still present.

Is there a thread for the character creator often failing to load skins? (Switch) This is the only one I could find.

I have a similar issue on the Nintendo Switch's bedrock version of Minecraft. No matter how or what I try to do, my attempts to sign in to my Microsoft Account I always have gotten the message:

Failed to login
"We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft account, but something went wrong."

This started to happen a few weeks ago, so about mid June 2019.

I can confirm for me as well.

It removes/does not let me use Functions in my Realm even though Functions work properly on the exact same world when played on Local

I have discovered that all of the command blocks affected involved EXECUTE commands which this new version has reformatted how the EXECUTE command works/sequences.

I am going to assume that is what caused the issue.

@@unknown I am going to assume you have not even read the Comment Updates. If you did, which you did not, you would see that i already said i cannot post it because this report site only allows up to 10mb attachments.

@@unknown That is not related to my issue. I receive no crash, no warning or lag or disconnects. it simply does not let me Alter or use Command blocks in my Realm. and if the world already has commands in it, it will remove most of their Command Info completely upon Uploading to the Realm

I have now discovered that the same Realm World wont let me change/add/alter the information of any commands within it even if i place down new command blocks. it lets me change their state from Repeat/Impulse/Chain but not the Info or Active/Inactive

No, my command blocks work fine if im playing outside of Realms, but when the world is uploaded to Realms and i log into it, there are 100 Command Blocks that are in a pillar to the sky that no longer contain commands within them and the block will not let me change its information. i have waited 2 hours in the world just in case of the lag of data but nothing happened. i have even downloaded the world from the realm and then checked it in a Minecraft File Editor which shows that all of the blocks in the 100 block Pillar contain no commands so something involving the Upload of the Realm is removing the Commands Block Data info.

The Command Blocks that are affected will also not allow me to alter or enter new information, only when i destroy the command block and then replace it will it allow me to put new commands, even though the bugged state has no information.

I have discovered that the Commands are working fine when im playing Local, but will be empty/not working when i upload the world to my Realm  and play it on the Realm.

Not All command blocks are affected, only one specific 100 block Pillar of command blocks are affected

 My world is larger than 10mb so this Site wont let me attach it...

Protection gives NO PROTECTION against Sword Damage. which is the entire point of most Protection Players for PVP
