Cannot update content in Marketplace

I have also just tried it on Minecraft iOS 1.13.3 and it does not work there either.

on my Samsung 7 galaxy edge  & PC 10 and PS4 as wall. Before iv rein rest windows 10 version l it losing my save world but works. seem to much to repeat it over and over for every time for a update. still having this problem on all 3 devise with update 1.14.0

Found a fix go to settings and change ado jump (on to off or reversed it) and go back to home scream by that time go back to Marketplace should be showing  owned by that time then settings and change ado jump back to how you like it.

The issue still exists in 1.14.0 on Windows 10.  I followed Thomas Crivello's advice and switched the auto-jump on.  As soon as I exited the settings screen, three packs automatically updated.  I went into marketplace to check and all of my purchases were updated.

It seems weird that a game play setting would affect the Marketplace as they are not related.

Ran into this problem today for 1.14.1 for Windows 10. Two of my Add-ons were flagged for Update, the update button does nothing. You can click it a million times and no update. 

The prior trick got one of them to update, but the other one will not. It's one officially made by Mojang too. 

I think this is across all platforms

Confirmed also not updating when update button is pressed on marketplace screen for an item in question - Way of the Bee did nothing in response.

Android 8.1 on LG Q6 running Bedrock 1.14.1 using touch screen controls.

Go to in game settings> Storage> Select and delete the DLC that you want for latest version> Marketplace> Download

I did this for texture pack.

I did what previous comment said as to deleting and redownloading and it works. Downloading "new" content works, but update option does not unfortunately.. hopefully it will be fixed soon! 

I attempted the trick with the auto jump on my switch and it has not worked unfortunately so there is no way for me to update packs or play packs I have paid for which really sucks 

@Cecilia Same here, even the same platform. I haven't tried deleting and redownloading stuff yet, but I have a feeling that that will work more consistently.

So I have been able to by pass it at this point by going to my settings --> storage ---> World templates have whatever need to have updated deleted and that will force update it

I have tried it multiple times and it still will not update. It sucks since I’ve put a lot of time and money into the templates 😞

I paid for these things. Help please?

And this is still a problem on the latest 1.14.2 update from last week.

What version will this be fixed in?

I've had this problem on Switch for awhile now.

Try deleting the templates are redownloading them. This worked for me on Nintendo Switch.

Hey I found a way to update texture packs until they get this fixed. Just delete the item you want to update and then redownload it. You dont have to repurchase it if you bought it once. You can redownload it again for free since that item was already purchased on that account. This should be a good work around until the issue is fixed

This is happening to me again and I have tried several different ways to update the mashups and texture packs but it still won't do anything.  

When are you going to get this fixed?

Hey, so do you know when they are going to resolve this? I had this problem for more then a month, and I can't use half my maps cuz it won't update.

I shoved mine last 2 patch's ago when the patch notes said it fixed. [Worning] this mathed will be deleting save worlds so back up saved worlds. I deleted my game and reinstalled it and last 2 updates a go. I go to the market and see update then I go to the seadings and back to home sreem it up dates it. I had to do it all 3 my badrock Games ps4,windows, and android phone. Note I wazent whored about my save worlds sentence 1.16 is coming out soon.

Facts. However, the temporary fix for the problem (worked for me) is deleting the world and re-downloading it. Settings>Storage. It isn't as easy as just pressing the button. These Devs better be working.

I have been waiting for this issue to be resolved for months now!! Will this ever get fixed? I cannot use most of my worlds they require and update and it won't update. I wouldn't be as upset if I didn't pay for these worlds but I did. I submitted a ticket and was told mine was going to be closed out because this ticket was already opened. All the tickets regarding this issue show resolved, but it hasn't.

I have recently purchased some worlds from the Nintendo switch marketplace and I can't get them to update is this going to be patched?

Try this mathed all badrock O this may not afackt servers. Stap 1.Save all single player worlds to cloud or backup storage locations. Stap 2 uninstall then reinstall the game then go to market place down Lode what you bought if still showing updates. Step 3 go to settings then exit then should popup a box starting installing. Step 4 retrieve your single save worlds. If all works out on peaches 1.16 and see update still showing do step 3 and good luck. (PS) yes I did all what I said on all my badrock Games PS4, Windows 10, and phone except I don't save my single player worlds.

This happens on Nintendo Switch as well. It's extremely frustrating.

If you save your single world on your Nitando switch and do my steps it should work same with xbox and all badrock Games 1.14.2 if lucky 1.16 go smoothly even if having to do step 3 for any updates to the market store.

I’m having the same issue on my Nintendo Switch. A temporary fix that I have found is;

1) Go to settings 

2) Storage

3) Delete the content

4) Redownload the content 

For those still affected by this issue - does the issue resolve itself if you go to Minecraft>Settings>Storage and remove any downloaded or cached content from there? (Are you able to re-download the marketplace items then?)

I have been dealing with this problem on Bedrock for MONTHS! It’s not resolved and I have tried everything possible and am still having the same issue.

No it don't help me. When I try to delete it won't remove from the storage I have to delete the game to make it work avery updates comes out.

i have a same problem (MCPE-95736).

i deleted the content and redownloaded, it's always the same.

I thought it was a storage problem, but on switch i also use a 128 gb sd card. so i have room.

Yes, this is still a bug, at least for us.

Go to download the mashup pack, it downloads step 1 of 2, 100% complete, then it downloads step 2 of 2, 100% complete, and then it returns to the pack, but it has the UPDATE button there. Click the update button, sometimes it will just restart the step 2 of 2 download, which it completes 100%, but at other times it does absolutely nothing when pressing the UPDATE button.

Impossible to get rid of the UPDATE button.

Have restarted the app (this is on the latest iPad), makes no difference. Have restarted the iPad, makes no difference. Have cleared space on the iPad, and also removed worlds and templates from the Minecraft Storage section, no difference.

Have also removed the mashup pack from Minecraft, then re-downloaded it from scratch, go through the same steps as mentioned at the start. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

I just contacted Mojang support who said well raise your bug and check in on it every so often to see if there any updates.

Judging by the dates on previous comments, my hope of this being fixed is low, which is a shame, but if anyone managed to get this working we'd love to hear them. (BTW, auto-jump switch made no difference, same with re-installing the content from scratch).

We are also experiencing this bug on iPad, where the world template only shows UPDATE, specifically with the DRAGONS++ world template by Spark Universe.  We have tried all the usual tricks like clearing space, forcing the iPad to restart, etc.  We tried removing the world template from the Settings menu and re-downloading with the same results.  I opened the Files app on the iPad and manually removed the "snttYo5wAQA=" folder from Minecraft's "internal" directory and that didn't do the trick either.

I also reached out to Spark Universe technical support today in hopes they will have some ideas.  My daughter has many other world templates on her iPad that run fine (sometimes after clearing space or turning the draw distance down), and so far this is only this one that refuses to run at all.  Could it be that it was not compatible with iPad?  There was no indication of that in the Marketplace description if that is the case.

I am also having this issue. And i also have that issue with DRAGONS++ and a lot of other worlds including few bundled with Realms Plus in. This issue is present on Windows 10 and Android. The Update button does nothing.

Just for grins I tried to start the DRAGONS++ add-on on the Xbox (also updated to 1.18.31, like the iPad was) and it just says UPDATE, even after going through the update step, 2 of 2 importing, etc, still says UPDATE just like the iPad does.

This is still an issue.

Just to chip in - my son is also having this issue with Sonic the Hedgehog on iOS which he has just purchased. It's the first purchase we've made, but free items seem to work just fine, never had an issue before.

The world template appears to have been downloaded but cannot be used due to apparent pending update. Removing the world template gives us the Download button back, which appears to work but then we're just back with the update button. This one also came with skins which have downloaded and are usable. 

Extremely frustrating. 

Please fix this because my game won't even let me open my worlds or activate any other texture packs and has this screen pop up saying updating packs that I can't close making it impossible to play the game

This is happening on both of my son's iPads for the same pack.

Will this ever be fixed? Seems unfair we can't play purchased content due to this bug.

I can not update the Age of the Samurai pack that I bought from the marketplace even though I cleared my MP cache and restarted minecraft.

I'm having a similar issue except it's letting me download, then just fails to import it to my system.

Closing as Fixed because a partial cause was found and fixed in 2020. However, the original issue expanded in scope and some aspects of it continue as of January 2024.
