I have items in the marketplace that are flagged for an update (texture packs and mashup packs). However, when I click on the "Update" button nothing happens.
This does not affect new content that was purchased on my Windows 10 machine. Those items showed up with a "Download" button on them. Those downloaded and installed properly. It is only the items marked as "Update" that are not working.

on my Samsung 7 galaxy edge & PC 10 and PS4 as wall. Before iv rein rest windows 10 version l it losing my save world but works. seem to much to repeat it over and over for every time for a update. still having this problem on all 3 devise with update 1.14.0
Found a fix go to settings and change ado jump (on to off or reversed it) and go back to home scream by that time go back to Marketplace should be showing owned by that time then settings and change ado jump back to how you like it.
The issue still exists in 1.14.0 on Windows 10. I followed Thomas Crivello's advice and switched the auto-jump on. As soon as I exited the settings screen, three packs automatically updated. I went into marketplace to check and all of my purchases were updated.
It seems weird that a game play setting would affect the Marketplace as they are not related.
Ran into this problem today for 1.14.1 for Windows 10. Two of my Add-ons were flagged for Update, the update button does nothing. You can click it a million times and no update.
The prior trick got one of them to update, but the other one will not. It's one officially made by Mojang too.
Just bought Stoneblock 2... OH WHAT'S THIS??? I CAN'T PLAY IT??
[media]?! this is worse than the great "stuck on 45%" of 2020
I can not update the Age of the Samurai pack that I bought from the marketplace even though I cleared my MP cache and restarted minecraft.
I'm having a similar issue except it's letting me download, then just fails to import it to my system.
Notice: We are closing this report at this time
(tl;dr: Skip down below the horizontal line below)
This report was originally intended to track the issue wherein Marketplace titles have a stuck Update button near the upper right corner of their Marketplace page. Around the time the report was created, there was a second issue that caused Marketplace titles to become persistently un-downloadable if their download was interrupted in certain ways. This second issue causes a Downloading progress meter to appear near the same (upper right) corner of the Marketplace page, and to persist unchanged for a long time.
At first it was thought that this second issue was contributing to the first, so we have a mixture of comments here, some about stuck Update buttons and some about downloads that don't complete. To address the second issue, Mojang added a Clear Marketplace Cache button (under Settings > Storage) which cleans up data left over from failed downloads so that retrying the download later can succeed. This solution has been highly effective, and we don't think download stalls are still a problem on any platform except Nintendo Switch. However, we're still monitoring for this issue; see the links below if it still affects you.
However, we've known for a while that the stuck Update button was actually an unrelated issue–and incidentally not a Minecraft issue at all (the Marketplace is housed in the Microsoft Store and managed by the Store team, completely separate from Mojang). Work is pending that will eventually fix it so the stuck Update button stops happening, but until then we're collecting reports of stuck titles and passing them to Mojang, who then pass it to the Store team to be fixed manually in their Marketplace catalog.
Due to the history of these two issues being conflated, plus our belief that all your reports up through August 2023 have already been responded to, we have decided that it's now time to separate these issues into individual reports, so we're closing this report and asking you to use the new reports for any continuing and future instances of these Marketplace problems. If you previously reported either a stuck Update button or a stuck download and are still experiencing it, we're asking you to renew your report by commenting on one of the three bug reports mentioned below. I realize it's annoying, but by getting your request into the right category we'll be able to streamline the process and respond to you more quickly.
Please let us know of any problems you're still having with the Marketplace, either a stuck Downloading progress bar or a stuck Update button, as detailed below. This includes players who submitted separate reports which were closed as duplicates of this report.
If you still have a Marketplace title with an Update button that won't go away:
Please add a comment to MCPE-153599 stating the exact title(s) and creator name(s) affected. Each title has to be manually reset, so please list each pair individually.
If you still have a Marketplace title that doesn't finish downloading:
First try going to Settings > Storage and clicking the Clear Marketplace Cache button. If that doesn't solve the problem, continue to the next step.
If you're having the problem on Nintendo Switch, please add a comment to MCPE-177765 stating the exact title(s) and creator name(s) affected. Be sure to mention that clicking the Clear Marketplace Cache button didn't solve the problem for you. We might need additional information, so please click the Watch link in the report heading to be notified when updates occur.
If you're having the problem on a different platform, please add a comment to MCPE-177684 stating the exact title(s) and creator name(s) affected, and tell us which platform(s) you're having the problem on. We think this problem has been fixed on your platform, so if you're still experiencing it we'll definitely need more information. Feel free to include anything you think might be relevant, and please click the Watch link in the report heading so you'll be notified if we leave you a question or request.
By the way, a big :yellow_star:THANK YOU!:yellow_star: to everyone for your great patience while Mojang works these problems out. As bug tracker mods and helpers, we're only here because we want to help you, so we really appreciate your understanding!
Closing as Fixed because a partial cause was found and fixed in 2020. However, the original issue expanded in scope and some aspects of it continue as of January 2024. We are now tracking these aspects individually in later reports. If you're still being affected by these Marketplace issues, please see the pinned comment for information on where to renew your reporting and continue tracking the issues.
I have also just tried it on Minecraft iOS 1.13.3 and it does not work there either.
