Any world I buy from marketplace gets stuck in downloading. Currently mine have been for over a week, at 0%.
Attention
This report is being used to gather all reports of stuck Marketplace downloads. A "stuck download" situation is indicated if the Marketplace page for your title has a download progress meter near the upper right corner and it never goes away, or if you're downloading it for the first time, the download progress meter in the center of the screen stops during Step 1 or Step 2 and never goes away.
Workaround: If you have a stuck Marketplace download, first try this:
From the Minecraft start screen, select Settings > Storage.
Click the Clear Marketplace Cache button.
Exit Minecraft (Important!)
Restart Minecraft and try your download again.
If this doesn't solve the problem, we need you to add a comment with the exact title and creator name for the content you're trying to download, and the platform you're using. If your platform is Windows, we'd also appreciate it if you could try the workaround published in this pinned comment by Mega_Spud and include the information about your LocalCache folder.

Hi. I'm having the same issue. I have tried all the steps without success. Actually NONE of the worlds download. I deleted all of them from the storage and now I can't even download any of them. I'll give you 2 exampled:
Example 1
Tittle: Godzilla
creator name: Impress
platform: Amazon Fire Max (no child account)
Example 2
Tittle: One Block Skyblock
creator name: Nitric Concepts
platform: Amazon Fire Max (no child account)

To the creator of this report, its commenters, and the creators of all reports that were closed as duplicates of this one:
Note: Don't delete your other content from storage trying to fix this. It probably won't help, and it will make your problem worse because you won't be able to re-download them until the stuck download is cleared.
The original report of these download issues was tracked as MCPE-54531. The last known causes from that report (except for a lingering issue affecting Nintendo Switch only) were fixed by release 1.20.50. However, the fix could not clear the temporary data left by unfinished downloads, so if you already had a stuck download before updating to the fixed release, you would still have it after the 1.20.50 update and any later updates.
The "Clear Marketplace Cache" workaround published in the description above is what clears the temporary data. It should reset all downloads in progress in that particular copy of Minecraft, and we've had feedback from one of the duplicate reports linked above that it solved the problem for them. So if you haven't tried the workaround recently, please try it again. If it solves your problem, we'd appreciate it if you'd let us know in a comment here. (Important: Be sure to exit and restart the game after clearing the cache!)
Otherwise it's possible that there's a new root case of the problem that needs an additional fix, but at the moment we don't have enough information about it so we're asking for your help. Starting with the Marketplace page for the content, if it has a "Downloading" progress meter at the top right, we'd like a screenshot of the page. If it has a "Download" button instead, describe in detail what happens when you click it. You should see something like a "Step 1 - Downloading" box with a progress meter, "then a Step 2 - Importing" box with a different progress meter. When that finishes, the box should go away and the Marketplace page's "Download" button label should change to something like "Create This World" or "Equip <skin name>" or "Apply This Pack", depending on what kind of content it is. Just tell us where it deviates from this process, plus anything else you notice that doesn't seem right to you. If you could attach a video of the process, that would be ideal!
We need this information before we can pass this problem on to Mojang for a solution, so please help if you can. Thank you!

I have purchased two world mods that are stuck in download on my sons Kindle Fire.
1-MEGA Skyblock by Jigarbov Productions (started the download two days ago)
2 - Furniture+ by 4KS Studios (started the download today)
Both are stuck in download @ 0%.
I have cleared my marketplace cache, checked for an update and logged out and back with no resolve.
Please advise on what can be done or what is being done to fix this issue.
Thank you.

@unknown: Toward the end of last year, Mojang fixed several problems that were causing this issue. There was still a known issue affecting Nintendo Switch, but we were no longer getting reports for other devices. We asked at the time whether anyone was still affected and received no responses, so we closed the original report and made a new one to track the Switch issue. But just in case there were still a few non-Switch people having the problem, we created this report as a central place to collect information about it.
Including yours, we currently have 2 comments from non-Switch people who are still having this issue, so at present we need to find out what the 2 of you have in common that makes your experience different from those who no longer have the issue. Information like that is crucial for finding a way to reproduce the issue, which is a prerequisite to fixing it.
I noticed that both you and the other commenter report that you're using Fire devices. This is a strong clue of the kind we're looking for. It might mean that the bug is in code unique to the Fire, or in code shared by the Fire and the Switch but not other platforms: Either would greatly narrow the search for the bug. But it could just be a coincidence, too, so the issue isn't yet ripe enough to formally submit for a fix.
To answer your question briefly, we're actively doing what we can (which isn't much) with the little information we have, but we're mostly waiting for more commenters to report having the bug so we can figure out what you all have in common. If we don't get more comments, we'll submit it anyway after a while, but the more information we can give the devs, the faster they'll be able to find the bug and fix it. In the mean time, I have communicated to Mojang that the issue might be unique to Fire, or possibly the same issue they already know about with the Switch, so when they have some time their testing team might be able to try reproducing it on a Fire device themselves. If they can, it will automatically go straight to the devs.
Just one more thing: The workaround tells you to clear the Marketplace cache, then quit Minecraft and start it up again before retrying the download. Some people take a shortcut and skip the middle part, and that doesn't work: You have to quit between clearing and retrying. If you took the shortcut, please try the workaround again and if it works, we'd appreciate you letting us know in a comment.

I'm having the same issue from an Amazon Fire Tablet (children's account).
Some apps I'm able to download, but I'm not able to download Avatar Legends By Gamemode One.
The progress meter says "Downloading: Avatar ...", but the meter shows no progress and it hasn't changed in over a week.
I've tried clearing the marketplace cache and then shut the tablet down and started it back up, but this doesn't seem to help.
Currently using Minecraft v1.20.51

Hi,
I responded to you comment via email sending you screen shot and video...

@unknown: Not sure who you were talking to, but the bug tracker has no email address. No idea what you mean.

isn't this JIRA? I get en email from the bug tracker system... so I just replied to that...it should have arrived...who knows...... but will add it here also

I have tried the "Clear Marketplace Cache" with all combinations…. No success. This is really bad as we have no access o any work that we have bought. I’m providing the data you are requesting. Also I created a video but can't get it below 10MB so I can't attach it...
|
This happens once I click on download button and then I clock on X or Cancel because nothing happens… it just stays doing nothing.
After this Minecraft shows the “downloading” doing nothing.
Screen Shot:
If it has a "Download" button instead, describe in detail what happens when you click it. You should see something like a "Step 1 - Downloading" box with a progress meter, "then a Step 2 - Importing" box with a different progress meter.
As I deleted most of my worlds from the storage, following other instructions I have the option to download them all. (which I cant because of this problem)
If I click on download
i. It asks me if I want to download Content. I click on download Button.
ii. It takes me to Step 1. It shows a Progress bar. Stays at 0.00MB never advances.
iii. At this point if I close the window, then you have the behavior of step 1 # When that finishes, the box should go away and the Marketplace page's "Download" button label should change to something like "Create This World" or "Equip <skin name>" or "Apply This Pack", depending on what kind of content it is. Just tell us where it deviates from this process, plus anything else you notice that doesn't seem right to you. If you could attach a video of the process, that would be ideal!
I can never get to here because it always stays in 0.00 in Step 1.|

@unknown: Ah, I understand now. That email address is only used by the notifications bot as far as I know. I don't believe anybody is monitoring it for incoming mail. Thank you for duplicating your information in a comment. With regard to the video, thanks for trying but given the textual information, it sounds like the same behavior reported in the old closed report MCPE-54531. The devs understand what was going wrong with that one, so now that we know it looks like the same problem we probably don't need to worry about your video. (For future reference, if you have an attachment that's larger than 10MB we suggest uploading it to cloud storage such as OneDrive, DropBox, or the like. Those services support creating a read-only sharing link that you can then attach to the report.)

Hi, I'm still having this issue with my son's iPad. I've tried logging in and out of app store, logging in and out of microsoft account, updating ipad to latest ios, restarting ipad, clearing marketplace cache - nothing works. I don't want to reinstall minecraft and risk him losing his worlds.
Here's the screenshot:
[media]Repro steps:
1. clear marketplace cache
2. navigate to my content
3. click angry birds
4. click download button
expected result: download progress bar appears and advances
actual result: download progress bar stays at zero. closing the dialog (by clicking the x at top left) brings me back to the content page (included screenshot).

@unknown: Your steps don't mention that you exited Minecraft and restarted immediately after clearing the Marketplace cache. This step is crucial. If you skipped it, could you please try again and let us know if it solves your problem?
I'm asking this because the only known cases of this bug recurring are on Nintendo Switch and Amazon Fire. We think it's been fixed for other platforms, but once a download gets stuck, it stays stuck until the workaround steps are correctly performed. We had a different ticket for tracking it on Switch, and we're considering whether we can make this one specifically for Fire, but if the workaround doesn't solve your problem we know there's still an issue on iOS at least.

Hello, we have an Amazon Fire for each of our two older kids. They have both been unable to download purchased content from the Marketplace for months. I have tried the steps above: clearing the Marketplace cache, pressing the OS back arrow button until I am prompted to quit Minecraft & doing so, and then reopening Minecraft.
Here are a few of the broken titles:
Artemis: Rocket Build (Minecraft)
Farm Craft: Secrets of Soil (Shapescape)
Trains (Lifeboat)
I'm happy to provide more details, or hook the tablet to adb (if that is a thing Amazon lets you do).

Thanks for the clarification. That was my mistake in typing out my steps, but just to be sure, I tried again:
1. clear marketplace cache
2. kill minecraft
3. restart ipad
4. open minecraft
5. navigate to "my content"
6. click angry birds
7. click download button
Same result. I also sometimes see this error:
[media]However, restarting Minecraft usually fixes the problem.
The download still becomes stuck. I have also tried on a different network (my phone's hotspot) in case it's a local network problem – I have a pihole filtered DNS - but I also tried with the local DNS on my son's iPad set to 8.8.8.8 (google's public DNS). Same problem on my hotspot and on google DNS.
My son just told me that he's actually had this problem for a long time - he has purchased several content packs that he's been unable to use. I wasn't aware of that until just now.
Just to be sure, I went through the same steps again (except for restarting his iPad):
1. clear marketplace cache
2. kill minecraft
3. open minecraft
4. navigate to "my content"
5. click angry birds
6. click download button
I know the cache was cleared because it took some time for marketplace to update, his character initially showed up as alex, and the angry birds content wasn't visible in "my content". After about 30 seconds his custom character appearance was back, and marketplace showed all of his purchases. I left it sitting on the download for a few minutes - it never advanced from 0.00MB.
I'm a software developer (I used to work for Unity) so I'm happy to engage more closely on this problem in order to help you understand the root cause.

@unknown: Thanks for the clarification! The screenshot for the connection issue very likely isn't a problem with the game itself, but the steps you subsequently followed convince me that you're having a very similar problem, if not the same one as Fire.
Unfortunately, I'm told they haven't yet been able to reproduce this issue on a Fire device, so we haven't made progress so far. The devs need more information which they may join in here to request, or they may work through us instead (I'm not sure which way they'll go). So this issue is definitely not being ignored. We appreciate everybody's patience in the mean time.
Thank you for your patience while this issue is being worked on. There are some additional steps that you might wish to try as a workaround - but please only do so if you are confident in using file explorer to edit files and folders, and please make a back up of any data that you don't wish to lose.
The workaround involves deleting the local cache, which is similar to what the 'Clear Marketplace Cache' button does, but more in depth. It's only available for platforms that provide access the cache folder, like on Windows.
Go into this folder: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe
This can also be navigated to via the following:
Win+R
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Locate the 'LocalCache' folder
Move the 'LocalCache' folder to some other directory or rename it
Then run the game and see if you still encounter the issue
Please let us know if this does work for you. Additionally, if this does resolve the issue, could you please mention what size the LocalCache folder is, and what files are taking up the most space?

@unknown: Thanks for letting us know! Sadly, I'm not receiving comparable reports from the Fire users, so maybe this report is limited to the Fire platform after all and your experience was a coincidence that fortunately resolved itself for you.
ALL: If any Fire users have also seen this problem resolve itself spontaneously, please let us know!

UPDATE!!!!!!! PS4 PLAYERS
I first found a file in the saved data on the PlayStation in storage under saved files for Minecraft that was called "corrupted data" and then I went in and cleared the storage cache on Minecraft itself. I had to click the clear marketplace cache several times before it worked. Then cleared the cached on my PlayStation4 by turning the system off and unplugging for one minute. Plugged back in. Uninstalled Minecraft. Reinstalled. And FIXED!! We can download anything and everything again!!! So happy!!!!!

I’m not entirely sure what you need for information. I am running Minecraft on iOS and unable to download STAR WARS by Minecraft. I have cleared the caches/reboot and made sure everything is up-to-date. Deleted reinstalled and it just doesn’t download stays at 0%.

We have encountered this issue on our HP Windows - tried clearing marketplace cache but still won't download:
Custom Hearts by Dodo Studios
Ores 2.0 by Levalatics
Hacker Hearts by PrestonPlayz
Hacker Tools by 4KS Studios
Pac-Man by Gamemode One
PrestonPlayz Mystery Button by FireGames
Backrooms by Pixelbiester
Mega TNT by Wonder
...basically every thing that has been purchased - but I'm uncertain which of these came first.

Hi All,
For fire tablet. My Minecraft got updated to a new version, now has a bell in the initial screen. We tried again the download and it worked. On thing that we did is clear the cache again and this time we selected the back arrow until we got the message of "do you want to exit Minecraft". Before we just exited Minecraft by just removing it from open apps.
What we are experiencing now...may be different issues is that the world's seem to be corrupted or something odd... Some have blank spaces or are empty...Godzilla world is totally empty...

Luke, that's the kind of problem I'd expect if you force-closed the app right after downloading, because parts of the content might not be fully written to storage yet. I'd suggest deleting the Marketplace title that has the problem and re-downloading it, and this time exit the game-provided way instead of the OS-provided force-close.
If that doesn't fix the corruption*, you'll need a different report. This one is only about downloads that get stuck.
*BTW, by "fix the corruption" I meant "avoid the corruption when using the title to create a world". It won't fix an already corrupted world.

Hi,
Yeah I went to delete the template from setting. Then o went to market place and redownload and and still have same issue. Other worlds that worked also have the same problem. Odd.... I'll need to create another report

@unknown: I'm sure that your licenses to content have not disappeared–that information isn't even stored in the game–but it sounds like you may have "shot yourself in the foot" by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. In my experience, what you're experiencing is caused by not being signed in to your Microsoft account, or to the wrong Microsoft account, but that could be more complicated in your case because (as I understand it) there's a PSN account involved too. In any case, if there's an account problem, that's not something the bug tracker can help you with: You'll need to follow your normal account support procedures to get that resolved, and then your Marketplace content should become available again.

ALL: If you have successfully used Mega_Spud's workaround (pinned above) to solve your problem, please, please tell us so! The suggested folder manipulation is only possible on Windows, but if the devs know that it works there it gives them a clue about what's going wrong on other platforms and how to solve it.

Made an account just to say that the Mega_Spud local cache delete worked for me. My Local Cache folder was 56.5MB and 49MB of that was in my blob_cache file. I don't know much about this stuff, but if I can help by sending any screenshots or folders or whatever please let me know.

@unknown: Thank you for your special effort to help, and welcome to the bug tracker! The information about file sizes was exactly was Mega_Spud needed!
All: Additional comments like Amy's are still welcome, especially if they hint at different oversized files being involved.

I'm having this issue and the workaround is not fixing it.
I'm trying to download "Biome Pets" by "Logdotzip" on iPad, app version 1.20.62
The download bar fills up for step 1 and then is stuck there indefinitely. Clearing the Marketplace Cache allows me to try downloading again with the same result. I've tried with force-closing the app after clearing the cache and without.
Downloading a different Add-On worked properly.
Update: I tried again today and was able to download "Biome Pets". If someone fixed it, thank you!

Update: I tried again today and was able to download "Biome Pets". If someone fixed it, thank you!

I seem to have a similar issue but slightly different, I try to download the new add ons and I've even tried with the burberry world, same issue. When I press download it kind of starts but then a message pops up saying the marketplace is unavailable and to come back later, but it still shows downloading on the button, not at the top or anywhere else, but soon after it just stops downloading. I'm playing on android and I'm not sure if it's a bug or an issue on ny half, I've tried the clear cache thing but still nothing.
Ps, I'm on mobile and don't know how to change the size of the image, sorry if its really big

Each of my kids have iPads with Minecraft installed. One of them can download mods just fine, but the other one cannot - the download indicator always gets stuck at 0%. Hasn't been able to download mods for a few months now. We have tried the prescribed workaround several times. I don't think it matters which mod we are attempting to download because none of them resolve, but the current one is "Ultimate Custom Hearts - 1.2.0" by Shapescape.

stuck downloading DragonFire by spectral studios (although the same issue applies to all content), minecraft v1.20.62 on an ipad. Repro steps:
clear marketplace cache to unlock stuck download
restarted minecraft app
tap download on the add-on's page
"Download Content? This will download the item to your device." - tap Download
"Step 1 of 2 - Downloading content" - remains stuck at 0.00MB, progress bar does not move
Can "x" out of this modal and see download button on content has been replaced by "Downloading:..." (note weird colon) and a stuck progress bar.

Once again, let me stress that after clearing the Marketplace cache, you must exit Minecraft before retrying the download. We know that if you try to download again without restarting the game, it will just get stuck again. Unfortunately, most of you haven't explicitly said that you restarted the game, which leaves us wondering if the workaround is fine and would fix the problem for you, or if there's more to the problem than we currently know about.
If you have left a comment in the last two months to say you have the problem and you didn't follow the workaround instructions exactly, please try again, and if you succeed this time please delete or edit your comment or otherwise let us know that you no longer have the problem.

the workaround doesn't work even with a restart of the app immediately after clearing the cache
Replay from @unknown: Thank you!

Hey everyone,
This worked for me, and hopefully it resolves the issue for you as well!

@unknown: Could you please try the workaround suggested in the pinned comment by Mega_Spud? If it works, it would really be helpful if you could tell us about the files in the moved or renamed LocalCache folder. For instance, you could screenshot the contents of a File Explorer window in Details view, or a directory listing with file sizes in Command Prompt. (Please take care to avoid showing personal details in your screenshot.)

I’ve tried restarting the console, Uploading game data to Cloud and uninstalling from console and downloading again and that’s not worked.
Ive also tried the workaround multiple times and have been trying to do everyday for a week and still no luck it’s just always stuck on Importing stays at 0%

@unknown: Please edit your comment stating whether you performed the workaround in the description, including all three steps: clearing the Marketplace cache, exiting Minecraft (important!), and then restarting and trying the download again. What you said in your comment is exactly what the workaround is supposed to fix.

@unknown: I asked you to edit your comment emphasizing a very specific piece of information you left out. In response you edited it doing nothing but removing blank lines. So let me try one more time:
DID YOU CLEAR THE MARKETPLACE CACHE, THEN IMMEDIATELY EXIT MINECRAFT BEFORE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD AGAIN?
Until you make it clear that you did all the workaround steps correctly, instead of just saying you "tried the workaround multiple times", I can't be confident that your problem can't be solved by using the workaround.

My apologies I have trouble understanding sometimes, yes I have Cleared the Cache then immediately exited MineCraft before tying the download again, this I’ve done multiple times sorry if you misunderstood me before 🙂
From @unknown: Thank you! I will forward this to Mojang.

I fixed this by my friend suggesting to clear Marketplace Cache and Restart my Fire after quitting Minecraft and it worked (maybe first time?)

@[MCPE Mod] Auldrick,
Do you know when I might get a response from Mojang regarding my issue as it’s still not working I’m trying everyday and nothing is working.
Kind regards,

@unknown: I own the blame this time. This bug report is special because it involves not only Minecraft but the Microsoft Store, which hosts the Marketplace. For this reason it isn't managed entirely in Mojang's internal bug tracker, as most bugs are, but instead I have to communicate directly to our Mojang liaison about it. Unfortunately, the liaison had to be absent for several weeks due to a personal situation, and during that time the person filling in for him was "out of the loop" and wasn't able to progress this issue, so I was unable to update Mojang about these issues for over a month. Then when he returned I gave him some time to catch up on his postponed work, and I lost my momentum. I am working to rectify that now.
As it stands, this kind of problem seems to have been fixed for most users, so much so that for a while it seemed probable that those of you who still had it weren't doing the workaround correctly. (That's why I was so insistent in recent months that you all explicitly say you'd restarted Minecraft after clearing the cache.) But we now have attestations from several users on different platforms (including you), so now it's more probably that there are still trigger conditions for the problem that Mojang hasn't addressed yet. The problem with that is that they need information about what temporary files aren't getting cleared out of the cache, assuming it's still a problem with the cache. And that information can only come from you users, since Mojang can't access your device.
We had a comment from PS4 user Bugaronirex16 that says he fixed his problem by deleting a "corrupt data file" and reinstalling Minecraft. I didn't know the temporary cache file location on PlayStation could be accessed by users, but if that user could do it, maybe you can too. Please review that comment. If you can find the files, you may be able to fix the problem on your own device, but before you delete anything, please tell us what files weren't deleted by Clear Marketplace Cache (and their sizes) so Mojang can try to use that information to improve the fix logic for other people. Then you can safely delete the cache files and try the download again, but I'd caution you not to reinstall Minecraft if you can avoid it, because that will wipe out your current worlds, settings, and character/skin, and you'll have to repeat whatever networking setup tasks go with installing for PlayStation. In any case, please let me know what, if anything, you choose to try, or if you'd rather not.
In case you're wondering, the Clear Marketplace Cache button is coded to clean up after the known kinds of download error, but it doesn't wipe out everything. I suspect that's because nontechnical users might decide it's harmless to clear the cache and might do it often, incorrectly thinking they were reclaiming storage on their device. That wouldn't be good, because it could result in them having to download all their DLC again, which would put an unnecessary burden on the Marketplace servers if a lot of people did it. For mobile devices (maybe other devices too?) it could also waste a lot of chargeable data minutes.

@ [MCPE Mod] Auldrick
I found a fix by following some steps on @Bugaronirex16’s comment…
I uploaded any saved date to my PS5 cloud
Opened MC and cleared the Cache and immediately shut down my PS5
Turned it back on and immediately uninstalled MC
Reinstalled and tried a download and boom it’s fixed !!!

Update on this issue
There have been a number of comments from people who solved this problem by accurately executing the workaround. Unfortunately, some other commenters are still having the problem, as far as I can tell - but it's also possible that they solved their problem and didn't let us know, so we need to get an updated status for everybody who still has this problem.
Below I have listed those of you who previously commented with the stuck downloads problem and haven't told me that you've resolved it. For some of you, I've also included some additional notes. If you still have the problem, I need you to affirm so in a new comment. You don't need to repeat your earlier comment, just say "I still have it" (unless you feel you need to add something else).
If you're on this list and I don't hear from you within 7 days, I'll assume it's because your problem has gone away and you're no longer watching this report.

@unknown:
I'm not quite certain, but I think you solved the download problem only to encounter a world corruption problem. If you actually still have the download problem, please confirm that. Otherwise, tell me if you've resolved the other problem, created a new report for it, or are waiting for help from me.
@unknown:
Your problem sounded more like a network connection reliability issue, but I can't be sure about that. If you're still having the same problem, can you tell us whether it has changed in some way? Also mention the platform (Android or iOS) you're using.

@unknown: Would you be able to look at your file storage for cached or temporary files to identify any particularly large ones? The devs may be able to use that information to identify yet another cause and fix it. (They've already fixed several causes of this problem, but each platform is a little different in this respect.)

There are no cached or temporary files on the phone. Phone is samsung.

@unknown: Looking a little more into this, I'm unable to find the title "Moorhead gauntlet" or any add-on with the word "gauntlet" in the title. Please comment with the correct title and creator name, or if you prefer, attach a screenshot showing the stuck download meter.

Hi, We're having this issue with a furniture pack we've just bought. It's called 'Vanilla Furniture'. It's from 'By House of How'. We've tried clearing marketplace cache as directed above. Any help appreciated. Many thanks. We're using an Ipad. Other furniture packs have downloaded fine.

@unknown: Looking at that screenshot, it appears that your progress meter's green bar has filled up all the way. I also notice beneath it what looks like a button with three blue circles on it, which I've never seen before. Can you tell me what that button is for?
The green bar having been filled up suggests that the pack was downloaded without an error and the game has stalled trying to copy it to the pack storage folder. To confirm this and to generate some more diagnostic info for the developers, I'd like to ask you to perform an experiment. (Don't worry, it's not hard.)
Go to Settings > Storage and click the Clear Marketplace Cache button. As soon as it finishes (you might only see the screen blink), shut down Minecraft and clear it out of your background apps.
Restart Minecraft. Again go to Settings > Storage but this time select the Resource Packs button.
If you have any packs bigger than about 30MB (the size appears at the upper right), delete them (click on the pack, then click the trash can button) or at least delete a couple of them if there are several. If you don't have any large packs, try deleting a few smaller ones. Note that you won't be losing your license by doing this, you'll just have to download them again the next time you want to use them.
After you've freed up some pack space this way, try downloading MORPH Add-On again.
If the download succeeds, that will tell us that you need more storage for packs, or else you're going to have to limit the number of packs you have on your device at any given time. But either way, we'd like to know the results of the experiment because even if you don't have enough storage, I imagine the devs will want to make a change so you get a message instead of just hanging.

@unknown: If like Flywater33 you have a progress meter stalled with the green bar full, you might like to try the same experiment I described above. Please let us know the results if you do.

Thanks. I've tried those steps but when we come to download the furniture back again it's just stuck at 0% on the download bar.

Neither of the options provided work. Only had 3mb of resource packs. Deleted 2 of them though and still did not work. No cache on the phone. Had 200kb of worlds and deleted down to 36kb. Only way in the past I was able to fix was to uninstall the app and then reinstall. If you can tell me how to do that without losing my worlds, I can try that again.

Flywater33 and sampward: I'm sorry the workaround isn't succeeding for you, but I can tell you that there is a fix on the way. I believe it has been applied to the Preview/Beta and if it doesn't cause some new problem, we can expect to see it in the next retail release. I'll be watching for it to be mentioned in a changelog and we can try again then.

Is anybody still having this problem in the 1.21.0.24 Preview/Beta version? If so, please let us know right away your platform, the exact title and creator, and the percentage your download progress bar is stuck at.

Hi, i did all you mentioned, the problem is the same, it stucks on 34% when importing content, after downloading, i also re-installed, eliminated cache from the marketplace and from the archives of Minecraft (size was 3200KB), and also try to play it in the 1.21.10.20, same thing. What do i do? Thx!

@unknown: We are expecting a fix in the next retail release. Hopefully that will fix the rest of these download problems.
Please take note that the bug tracker is not a customer service site. Our mission is to help you complete bug reports and submit them to Mojang. The staff here are, in general, not Mojang or Microsoft employees, we're volunteers from the community. For more information about what the bug tracker is for and how it works, see our Guidelines and FAQ.
However, I can make a suggestion in your case: Your download hangs at 34%, which means you might be running out of space at that point. When you clear the cache, it gets rid of temporary files only, which may not leave enough room for what you're trying to download. What you might want to try is using Settings > Storage and delete any world templates, resource packs, and behavior packs you're not using at the moment. That might free up enough space for you to download a large item from the Marketplace. (Don't worry, you won't lose access to packs you delete, you'll just have to re-download them from the Marketplace pages the next time you want to use them.)
Also, make sure that after you clear the Marketplace cache, you immediately exit Minecraft and restart it. Otherwise any packs that happen to be loaded into memory at the time will still be there taking up space when you try to download again.

Auldrick:
I did all that, I think it's not a "space" or cache problem.
PS: I came because a member of the Minecraft support team told me to post my problem here and find a solution or help by posting my problem here 😉

@unknown: It may not be a space or cache problem, but it's a problem most people don't experience, so it's something related to the unique device or the OS environment the game is running on, not an actual bug in the game code. The approach Mojang has to take in these cases is to try and gather enough information to understand what's failing, then either find a workaround for it and add logic implementing the workaround into the code, or if no workaround is possible they present the player an error message instead of just getting hung. They've already fixed many causes of this problem on various platforms, and we're waiting for another one now, which is why I said "Hopefully that will fix the rest of these download problems".
What the support team told you is correct: This is where the problem belongs (even though it's not actually a bug). I was just reacting to you saying "What do I do?". It's pretty common for people to come here looking for a solution, but we're not able to provide one (usually; sometimes we can offer a workaround), so that triggers me to adjust your expectations by suggesting you read our Guidelines and FAQ. It's not meant to suggest you're in the wrong place, just that you're past the point of getting a quick answer.

I found a fix for this issue on Windows 11 by doing the following;
Go to Settings > Storage
Press "Clear Marketplace Cache" (It may take a few minutes)
Close Minecraft
Open Minecraft
Go to the Marketplace and download the marketplace content.

My downloads are always stuck at 0 %. I tried clearing cache many times. But it is not working.

We've had problems with downloads almost every time. It seems to be worse with the paid-for add-ons, for some reason. In some cases, we can download successfully after a few days. But clearing cache etc. doesn't make any difference.
The latest paid-for add-on still will not download after several days.
Platform: Bedrock 1.20.81 on Android tablet.
Add-on that won't currently download: Tetris by Jigarbov studios.

I was told there would be another partial fix for these problems in 1.21.0. Though I didn't notice it mentioned in the changelog, I still expect the fix went in. So it's time now to take stock of where we are on this issue.
If you still have any Marketplace downloads stuck (that is, your Marketplace > My Content list has one or more items with progress meters that don't change within a period of 30 seconds or so), please try the workaround in this report's description again, even if you've tried it already.
There are many, many causes of these hung downloads, and they differ from one platform to another. A lot of them have been fixed by this time, but it's impossible to know whether we've got them all. But we can know that we haven't gotten them all, if you tell us, so please take a moment soon and check if you have any more stuck downloads. Thank you!

Same problem trying to download DragonFire Add-on By Spectral Studios. On ps4
Have tried clearing cache, and closing Minecraft immediately, definitely enough room in storage, deleted a bunch of worlds. Very disappointed when it's paid content. I should learn to stick to free stuff.

@unknown: I'll do my best to help you get around this problem, but if you prefer I think you would be able to get a refund.
So far you're the only person who has responded to my latest comment, but it's early days since 1.21.0 was released so there may be more. But let's try gathering some additional information from you:
I really don't know anything about PS4. If you have the ability to look at stored files, can you find a folder/directory named LocalCache? If so, you might try exiting Minecraft, renaming the folder to something else, and starting Minecraft again. If it works, it should create a new LocalCache folder so you can delete the renamed one. If it won't start, you can rename the renamed one back.
Can you upload a screenshot that shows the hung status bar? They generally all look the same but if yours is different, it might point to a new kind of problem.
Is Dragonfire Add-On the only title that has this problem? Do you have any other titles (free or purchased) that are currently unloaded that you can try to download and tell us what happens? They will have a "Download" button on the pack's page or in the Marketplace search results list.
Note that most consoles (other than Xbox) have to go through their own platform's network to reach the Microsoft Store (which hosts the Marketplace). This complicates the process, which is why there are so many different causes of this issue. But we're getting close to squashing all the bugs, I think, so don't give up hope.

If you still have any Marketplace downloads stuck and they aren't listed below, please leave a comment giving the exact title and creator name (and if possible, include a screenshot).

Ive tried all methods on xbox series s reinstall ,cache, open close ,etc still no success
.Its not the pack I'm downloading as every other add-on has the same issue, from 5 to 75 mbs . This also makes it so you cant cancel the download and instead you have to restart. Not the preview version by the way and it only happens on this device

@unknown: I've been holding back from resolving this bug report solely because of your comment, but you're now the only known player still experiencing the problem. Have you been able to resolve the issue on your Xbox Series S?
If not, there's only one thing I know of to try, namely to make more storage available for the download. Some other people have had success by removing downloaded content they don't currently need installed, using the Settings > Storage screen. (Don't worry, you won't lose access to content you've paid for: You'll just have to download it again the next time you want to use it). Could you try that? If it works, it must mean that you've bought more content than you have storage for on your device. I'm afraid there's no better fix in that case, as we obviously can't add storage for you. You'll just have to juggle what's downloaded as you need it.
If even freeing up more storage doesn't solve your problem, please comment again to say so. I'll try to get somebody familiar with your console to suggest ways we can collect more information from you.
Please respond soon. If I don't hear from you in 5 more days, I'll assume you've found a solution and I'll resolve this report as Fixed in 1.20.10.

FYI, I'm experiencing this exactly. I'm on the iPad, v1.21.2.
Add on name: Wolf Life by Float Studios
I've tried:
Clearing the marketplace cache, signing out, killing the app (swiping up), reopening, signing in, re-downloading
Rebooting the iPad, trying again
Repeating the above a dozen times with different variations
Sometimes I get this error when trying to access the marketplace:
"Hmm, Marketplace is having some issues. Please try connecting later. L–2147467259"
But most of the time I don't. I just try to download, and it stays stuck at:
"Step 1 of 2 - Downloading Content: 0.00MB of 46.7MB"
And stays there forever. My daughter is pretty bummed, I'd love to get this sorted.

I will report Wolf Life by Float Studios to the Store team for correction. Note that getting these fixed involves getting the content creator to resubmit their title to the Marketplace, so it may take a few days. I'd say give them 10 days or so. I will have closed this report by then, so if it hasn't been fixed in 2 weeks I'll ask you to please create a new bug report for it.

"Furniture Add-On" by Honeyfrost is currently frozen at "Downloading" 0% for my child on iPad (v1.21.2). This has persisted after clearing the marketplace cache multiple times, killing the app and restarting, signing out of the xbox account, signing back in, killing the app again and again...and it never even gives me the option to click download again; it always says "Downloading" even when completely signed out of the xbox account with the big banner that says "none of your add-ons are available because you're not signed in" or whatever.
This then prevent any other add-on from downloading, they all then get stuck at 0% and don't respond. However, when I do clear the marketplace cache, all of those add-ons aren't stuck at "Downloading" anymore; just this one. If I try to download them again though, it will get stuck again and I have to clear the cache once more.

Ok, it looks like we might have a new (or at least not previous discovered) problem on iPads. Those are running iOS, right? Please let me know (1) how long you've been having the problem and what (2) version of iOS you're on.
I was planning to resolve this report in a few days, but that plan is canceled now so be sure to keep watching this report.
@unknown: The behavior of other downloads you attempt is expected. Downloads are stored in a queue. The title you're having trouble with is first in the queue and is marked in-progress, so when you reset everything and re-launch the game, it resumes trying to download and runs into the same problem again. Other titles you tried to download are put in the queue but never get marked in-progress. They get discarded from the queue when you clear the cache. That may not seem like it makes sense, but it's kind of a brute force way of hopefully getting around having this problem when the download stalls because you ran out of storage. I'm not necessarily saying you're out of storage in this case (though you might be), but this logic has helped some people get around problems on some platforms in the past.
If you want to try a possible workaround, use the Settings > Storage screen to delete content you're not using at the moment along with the cache, then quit, restart, and try the download again. If you are short on storage, that might get you past the problem. (It would be very helpful if you let us know it worked for you!)

Hi again! I got really excited when you mentioned it could be a storage issue, but I checked and they have about 180GB available right now, womp womp. I'll keep following this issue to see if any other possible solutions crop up. Thanks!
Edit: I forgot to answer the other questions. Yeah they're basically iOS but it's called iPadOS instead. The problem first cropped up a few days ago, but we were not in the US at the time so I thought maybe it was an international wifi thing or something. However, once we returned, I wasn't able to cancel/restart the download.

I've been informed that the problem for iOS/iPadOS was fixed in the 1.21.10.23 Preview release and was due to come out in the 1.21.10 full release, but because they decided to postpone that release the fix will instead be included in 1.21.20. So it shouldn't be long until this is fixed, and at that point I'll be resolving this bug report.

I bought a resource pack: RealismCraft 1.3 from "Spark Universe" on minecraft ps4. I followed the steps to resolve the problem but I still can't download it. My nickname is EtoileRebelle. The resource pack cost me 10€ either you refund me or you solve the problem, as soon as I download it I get this: insufficient space or the content cannot be downloaded
I deleted everything. I don't understand.

@unknown: You might be aware that there is a global outage of many internet services in progress, which began yesterday. Microsoft was heavily affected, including the Microsoft Store (which hosts Marketplace) and Xbox Live (which provides networking for Minecraft). Your problem might well have been caused by these outages. Microsoft's problem has been fixed to a degree, but hundreds of other companies are still affected. I would recommend that you keep trying to download occasionally for the next day or two. If the problem doesn't correct itself, that will be the time to consider further diagnosis.
If you would prefer a refund, please contact Microsoft Support at the link below. The bug tracker is only for reporting bugs and the staff here are not Mojang or Microsoft employees. @unknown: Please try the workaround in the description area first, following the instructions carefully. If that doesn't get you past the problem, comment again providing all the information requested.

I have tried the workaround exactly as described and it did not work. The affected add-ons are:
MORPH Add-on By Kubo Studios
Pyramid Base By Honeyfrost
Playing v1.21.2 on Android 14 tablet.

My son is experiencing this in Minecraft bedrock on his Nintendo Switch. It downloads the first step but gets stuck there and doesn't move on to next steps. We have tried deleting content and have freed up more than enough storage space. We have also cleared the cache, quit and restarted and it did not help. He is frustrated and feels he wasted his time and money. The following titles are affected:
Pirate Mashup by Honeyfrost
Star Wars: Path of the Jedi by Spark Universe

In the Switch version, if you install most DLC with a capacity of 123MB or more (140MB or more confirmed, Star Wars 2020, etc.), a bug will occur where you will not be able to proceed to STEP 2 at STEP 1/2 100%. Also, if you enter a world while downloading in this state, your progress will not be saved, and if you open the album from the Switch home in this state, it will take longer to open than usual. Currently, there is a bug in 1.21.20 that prevents the marketplace from opening, so we cannot verify it. This bug has been confirmed since version 1.19.80. Please note that the import was successful on Windows and Android.

With the release of 1.21.20, the final scheduled fix for this problem went into effect and this report was resolved, but the comment just posted before this one tells me that there is still a problem for at least some people. Although the symptoms may be similar, I suspect a new root cause is responsible, and since there was so much activity on this report that can confuse everybody and make it harder to identify this new root case, I think we probably need to create a new bug report for it.
First, though: There were complaints (I'm not sure they were confirmed) about the Marketplace being slow or stuck at about the same time the 1.21.20 release and 1.21.30.23 Preview came out. It seems to be improved today, so @unknown please confirm that this is still happening to you today. (I believe it is, I just need to be thorough.)
Importantly, if there is anyone else watching this bug report who still has a problem after trying the workaround in the current release, please re-comment to say so and state your platform, title, and creator name. (If there are multiple titles involved, it's enough to name one example.) I believe from recent comments that if there's an issue left here, it might affect only Switch users, and if that's true, we definitely want to start a new bug report to track it.
Important update:
Since writing this, I've been informed that the new release may not have filtered through to Switch users yet. If you haven't gotten 1.21.20 yet, please wait until you have it to test whether the problem still applies to you. We may not need a new bug report after all.

I'm having trouble with the Furniture 1.2 add on BY XP GAMES on the Xbox Series S. It is not downloading and I don't know why .

@unknown: All known problems should have been fixed for the Xbox, but outstanding stuck downloads have to be cleared manually. Have you tried the workaround? If not, please do and let us know whether it fixes your problem.
Note: I was able to download this add-on on my Windows platform.

Yes I've have tried the work around multiple times it doesn't work

Sorry for the late reply. As of 1.21.22, this problem still occurs. The Switch model is a model manufactured around 2018. When trying to download DLC of about 128MB or more, it does not proceed from Step 1/2 100% and the DLC cannot be imported. This may apply to all DLC of 128MB or more. As a last resort, you can erase all your save data, but please note that you will lose all your worlds. Also, if you enter any world with this bug and try to exit and save, you will get stuck on the save screen and it will not save properly, and it will take a long time to open the Switch album.

@unknown and @unknown, Mojang's fix for this issue was applied in 1.21.20, so I need to resolve this bug report but first I want to make sure you aren't left hanging.
AniMario: I just noticed yesterday that your problem is different from the one described in this report. This report is only about the download not completing (Step 1), but your problem is with installing it on your device (Step 2). That problem is seen on some console systems, and in at least some cases it can be solved by deleting content you aren't currently using (via Settings>Storage), restarting Minecraft, and trying the download again. (This only deletes your local copies of the content; you can download them again the next time you need them.) Please try this first. If that doesn't work for you, I'd suggest next that you contact Switch support, as they may be familiar with the problem and have a solution. If you still can't get around the issue, we'll need you to create a new bug report. (I did a search to see if your problem has been described previously and didn't find anything.)
Wolfman1997: You didn't say whether in your case the download is getting stuck at Step 1 or Step 2.
If it's at Step 1, we need you to create a new bug report, emphasizing whatever you can discover that is different from this report. Comparing what you see with some of the attached screenshots is one way to find such differences.
If it's at Step 2, the same comments I wrote above for AniMario would also apply to you, except of course that you would contact Xbox support instead of Switch support.
I will continue watching this report through Friday (3 days from now) in case either of you have additional questions. If I don't hear from you, I'll assume you've either solved your problem or will create a new bug report.

I have this problem I'm in version 1.21.23 and I try to download any texture or addon, after having paid a realm and still does not download the content I'm on computer, I hope it can be solved soon, I have done these steps again and again and does not let, also look in settings where I gave repair but also does not work

@unknown: Thank you for your comment. You mentioned a Realm. It's hard to understand how a realm has something to do with downloading a texture pack or addon from the Marketplace. Also, the issue described in this bug report has already been resolved, so whatever the problem is you're having, it must have a different root cause.
Please search for a bug report that more closely matches your problem (one with 'Unresolved' in the resolution field). If you find one, you can add your vote to it and comment with any additional information you know of that might help the developers find and fix the problem.
If you can't find a matching report, please create one following our Mojang Bug Tracker Guidelines and FAQ. Be sure to include the platform you're playing on and describe what steps you've taken to fix it that haven't helped. Also, if a Realm is involved somehow, please be sure to explain how it relates to the problem.

I am having this issue also where no Marketplace files are downloading on my son's iPad. I have gone through the steps of deleting the Marketplace cache, restarting etc and I even uninstalled and reinstalled MC, but still nothing. Today I signed up for the Marketplace Pass and that's when I found no add-ons were downloading.

Hello!
My device is a PS5. Despite this I use the Legacy Edition PS4 disc to play.
I have tried this method multiple times, but it hasn’t worked. I did this method for a Mash-Up pack that I bought on the Bedrock Marketplace, it is a Little Big Planet Mash-Up pack, made by Minecraft (According to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/marketplace/pdp?id=4d7590d6-8f7f-4f53-989a-2df76b6b015b). As of writing, I have bought this pack about 2 days ago. I should mention when I open up the technical details, this pops-up, though it has appeared amongst my other pack (Classic texture pack). I have looked into deleting other content from the marketplace that I have owned, but I don’t have any other downloaded packs or DLC.

Marketplace downloads stuck at 0%

I am hitting this issue on iOS with A Minecraft Movie DLC by Spark Universe. Clearing the cache and trying again did not resolve the issue.
