are you playing Java or are you playing Bedrock? You mentioned Java snapshot yet linked into Bedrock bug report.
@gord of course it is still a problem, the "Resolved" status just mean in the future update after 24w34a you will not see this bug again.
Of course it is still exist in 24w34a. Once a snapshot releases, it will never change. Bugs on that snapshot will be fixed on the next snapshot. That is the point of snapshot-style release system after all.

can no longer reproduce in 1.21 Pre-release 2.
It was fixed somewhere between 1.21 snapshots, but I can't find any mention of it in accumulated 1.21 fixes in the wiki https://minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_1.21#Fixes
Regarding lava chicken farms, there might be related bug due to thrown chicken egg now makes mobs jump MC-298970
That would explain why baby chickens got burnt, because they jumped.
