I can also confirm from the playerdata folder on the server, that nobody else has ever connected to my server instance.
The current text doesn't do a good job of making it clear that it's not a bug. If it's correct that this is by design, would it not be better to replace that text with something along the lines of "Advancements will appear here as you progress the game.". If nothing else, this minor change will stop people continuously creating bug reports for this, as it will then be clear that it is by design.
Also seeing this. Playing on Linux (Ubuntu 19.04) with OpenJDK (build 1.8.0_222-8u222-b10-1ubuntu1~19.04.1-b10).
As per Grayson's comment, I'd been deep undergound (y=11), and when I got back to the surface, I found two llamas, but only one trader. The trader was about 2 chunks away from the two llamas when closest to them, he was constantly running around very fast in an area probably no bigger than a 2x2 chunk area, which were roughly centred on my ladder that takes me straight down to y=11.
The boat trick didn't work. I pushed each llama into a boat, then moved them towards the trader. The trader himself then entered a boat. On breaking both boats, the trader continued running around.
If I'm quick enough and right click the trader, he does stop whilst trading, but on closing the GUI, he's off again!
I've found if I whack him with a sword, he then slows down to a normal running speed again for 5 seconds max, but then starts rushing around again.
Killing the llamas doesn't slow or stop him running around at warp speed.
The trader seems to just go invisible when during the night, but he's still there, as I can hear his 'eerrgh' noises. After sleeping the night, when i woke, I saw for a split second what looked a partial texture showing just his folded forearms darting around (sorry, my eye sight isn't the best, and it was for no more than a few tenths of a second), then the full texture appeared.
Saving and quitting, then loading the world again did make him return to normal speed, and the trader then started venturing outside of the approximate 2x2 chunk area he was previously darting around in.
This is a single player world generated in 1.14.4, with no client side mods what-so-ever. I am launching with MultiMC though.
Can confirm also on 17w16b. Four command blocks, the first doesn't provide the required condition for the 2nd chain command block to trigger, which is fine, but the 3rd & 4th chained conditional command blocks trigger regardless, despite the previous output condition not being met.
Can confirm, have a single player sleeping command block setup, the output from `/testfor @p[score_sleep_min=105]` correctly returns `[19:32:48] Entity '@p[score_sleep_min=105]' cannot be found`, yet the conditional command block feeding from it, always executes. Was working fine with 17w15a.

Can confirm a similar crash when shift clicking a recipe from the recipe book. I'm trying to craft redstone into redstone blocks, and the crash occurs under the following situation:
Have at least 2 stacks of redstone + 7 individual pieces (total of > 135 pieces) of redstone (any less, and it doesn't crash)
Shift click the redstone block recipe in the recipe book
In this situation, I briefly see the items enter the crafting grid and the client immediately disconnects from the server, but the server continues to run. I can't be 100% sure, but I think items can be lost when reconnecting.
I've had the same problem trying to craft coal into coal blocks. Note that I can manually craft both coal and redstone in these quantities, it seems to be specific to shift clicking the crafting book recipes.
Normal click of the recipe book with those quantities in my inventory works fine.
I'm playing with a Mac OS X client (17w15a, via the new launcher 2.0.849). The dedicated server is an Ubuntu 16.04 VPS with openjdk version "1.8.0_121"
Still present on 17w14a for me too. Log from dedicated server:

This bug is not resolved for me on 17w13b or on 17w14a
Confirmed in both 17w13b & 17w14a whilst playing on a server in an existing world
This issue is still present for me on 17w14a, connected to my own personal dedicated server (running same snapshot version), with a world first generated in 17w06a that's been upgraded via 17w13a & 17w13b.
I don't understand the above comment relating to having a crafting table in the inventory, but having played around with that idea just now in 17w14a, it's not helped resolve the issue.
Just seen this in 16w07b, on my own private SMP dedicated server. (16w07b on both client and server).
I approached the skeleton from behind and it didn't move as I approached it. I struck it once with my sword, it didn't move, and I can't hit it again. It's just standing idle in my world, with arms slightly waving. I disconnected from the server, and reconnected, and the frozen skeleton was still there, after connecting again, I still couldn't hit it again.
I've tried hitting it with everything in my inventory, and have dropped water, but the skeleton isn't affected. If I attempt to remove blocks from below it, the skeleton just floats in the same place.
In my opinion, the correct behaviour should be as follows:
Right click to plant the first seed in the farmland area, but the shield shouldn't start blocking unless the player releases & re-presses RMB. Instead other areas of farmland are planted as you move around whilst continuing to hold RMB. An action with the off hand really shouldn't start as a result of holding down RMB too long for an action that completes with the main hand. See MC-97176, for an example of the same effect with food in main hand and torch in off hand.
The issue might relate to MC-43601, but I don't see it as the same issue, as the circumstances are different. This issue doesn't require mobs to be in close proximity. I don't know if the issue still exists though, but I'm sure it will get re-opened if someone else continues to have the problem.
I created a youtube video of this issue, with the intention of submitting a bug report. However, found it's already been reported. However, if it helps, the video is here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-YhZorCmmU
I'm seeing the issue on 1.7.4 (Windows 8.1 x64, Java 7 u45)
I was about to provide an update stating that I don't expect that this would be reproducable, but I've just joined my server and went to see if I could find the same location again out of curiosity, as I knew the aproximate direction I needed to travel in.
I managed to find the location again, and was amazed to find a large bunch of chicken eggs in the world again, at what I believe is the same location.
Following this discovery, I've re-joined with a fabric modded client so that I could easily see the distance between my base and the location of the eggs using the minimap mod, as you will see from the screenshot showing my inventory (see the waypoint above my inventory), my base (where I spend a lot of time building) is 300 blocks away from where the eggs were found. Note that until now, I have been playing exclusively with the vanilla client (and a vanilla server), so the fabric modded client is nothing to do with this.
All the eggs shown in my inventory, where those that I found on the ground.
I hope the screenshots are useful. If further information is required, I'd be happy to oblige.
