MCPE-58815 Hostile mobs spawn on leaves Duplicate

Comments

I wasn't able to get this achievement before (July 2020), but while trying to reproduce today I did get the achievement! I was on the same platform, Windows 10, so maybe the bug has been fixed.

I'm still having this issue in 1.16.1, Windows 10 Edition

I didn't receive the achievement after attempts, destroying parts of the pyramid, choosing different powers, etc. I even quit my world and returned several times. I finally got the achievement once I quit while standing near the beacon and re-entered the world: I would recommend others try the same thing.

Still affecting me in 1.14.1, I've opened two buried treasures. Both times I had an item in my offhand though the first time I opened the chest. Upon opening a chest the second time with just the treasure map in my main hand, I still did not get the achievement. It's especially weird because I did get the Moskstraumen (Activate a Conduit) achievement upon activating a conduit.

RE the Me Gold! achievement: This issue is likely a duplicate of MCPE-33382

Auldrick: Yes, I was confirming that the expected behavior occurs: mobs do not spawn on bottom slabs. I just wanted to clarify, because other people were claiming otherwise, but I tested in a superflat world of all bottom slabs. No mobs spawned.

I would like to confirm that mobs are not spawning on bottom half slabs in 1.14.0

Sorry, I found a duplicate issue: MCPE-54241

Is this a persistent issue? It could just be a problem with loading things for the first time.

This sounds like a simulation distance issue. When you're several chunks away from these blocks, their behavior is disabled to reduce lag. Try increasing simulation distance when you're in your world by going to Settings -> World -> Game -> Simulation Distance

Just happened to me. Trapped him in a small, inescapable pen, built for a few minutes, came back and he was gone. But then... I heard him? I looked directly at the pen and he was certainly not there. Quit and reload: bam! There he is! The weirdest bug, especially if it happens and the horse isn't in a pen...

Just checked, this bug still affects v1.2.9

This was all on singleplayer

For me, the best way to test is to create a grass superflat world in any Bedrock edition (I've done it with newly created worlds on Xbox One and Windows 10). Simply replace 25 spots with dirt, but make sure they're surrounded by grass on every side. They should grow back soon, but they don't. At the same time, you can compare the growth rate of Java edition, where half the dirt turns back into grass by the time you've replaced the spots. That's what makes me think this is a glitch. I've stood above the grass for 15 minutes and only 4 of the 25 spots have regrown, even though each is fully surrounded by grass.

Hey @Mega_Spud, this issue is not resolved! The crops are within loaded chunks, and they aren't growing at all. It's been weeks... this is definitely a glitch.

Please re-open this issue. This is occurring consistently for many users. This is an issue for me as well in v1.2.5, and it applies to the paths within my village. There is dirt surrounded entirely by grass, and it has not changed to grass for hours! This is not a chance occurrence, this is a bug.
