For now you could use a piston with a unmovable block in front of it to get similar (but not the same) behaviour without the noise of the piston

I have deleted all worlds, purchased an external SD card, as well as confirmed that the switch itself still has plenty of storage.  See the message I get in image0.png above.

Super frustrating.  Considering requesting a refund, however my kids would really rather just play minecraft, so please fix!!

No – I agree with you there – if this is strictly a mods interaction problem – no question

but the forum is the only place for me to try and understand if
1) my problem is unique , or common
2) is related to the mods I might have used –or be completely unrelated to mods.

I usually use Rei’s miniimap ONLY – I do not use the game effecting mods.

In desperation over the 1.5 running so damn slow – I tried running optifine …didn’t really help so I stopped using it.

I haven’t used ANY mods since 1.5.1 –and I’m finding these goofy ‘missing’ block that are totally fracking up my structures –

AND the smoking gun seems to be Mojang’s intro of 1.5

…NOT reis –which I’ve used for a year…

These blocks are effected –I have not used any mods since 1.5.1 update… and prior to that, only a MAPPING TOOL ,,,
