That is strange for sound lag to be from the server side (and I already knew that single player has a server)

Entity 303 isn't real, the problems you may be having could be on the server's side. Maybe they are just trolling you.

When you try to join the server, what is the message being displayed?

Are you turning down the music slider AND clicking the "Ok" button?

This is a java (or OpenGL) thing I think.
I think this is caused by Minecraft thinking when on full screen that its needs to be there because to the computer your main monitor is screen 1.

Note: Why play Minecraft on your second monitor?
