Still an issue in 1.11.2.
This could be a very serious issue when using the elytra in pvp situations, as another player shooting at a flying player might not know about the incorrect hitbox, think they're hitting the player, but actually aren't.
Occurring on 14w27b for me as well. Please update affected versions to include the 'b' snapshot.
Did some more testing and found that it's not only with the "Toast" spawn egg, but with any rabbit spawn egg. Updated details in bug report to reflect this finding.
I have the same issue when attempting to update my server from 14w26c to 14w27a.
Oh, and I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 if that helps anyone.
