For an issue that is this hard to reproduce, I wouldn't take that as evidence that that "fixes" it. We lost several master villagers on our server who had nametags.

Might be related to MC-153904 as well.

I have had many bees disappear near a village where villagers are constantly disappearing.

I can't reproduce this in 1.15.1.

I believe in my case both villagers disappeared because they were both in different chunks compared to the boat they were in (which is possible at a chuck corner). Here are two screenshots that demonstrate this better; in these cases only one (or none) of the villagers in the boats disappear because they share the chunk coordinate with the boat they are in.

Here is the relevant log section (because the log file is getting very big) from screenshot to screenshot for this instance.

@Jeffery Delia that's totally reproducible. Great!

I managed to do it 3 out of 3 times. Two times both villagers disappeared, the third time two pigs disappeared. I'm not sure how that applies to the villagers disappearing in my server because they're not in boats, but the root cause of this bug may be the same.

Just set up a boat on a chunk corner, add to mobs such that one is in one chunk and one in the other. Exit the game then load back in. They'll appear for a frame or so and then disappear. It also works with other types of mobs (I've tried pigs). Same set-up.

I've attached my screenshots and latest.log file. This was done on a single player world.

@boq I've grepped all my logs and I can't find any Villager ... died, message: ... that is related to villagers disappearing on my server. I would guess at least 5 villagers have gone missing. Nobody has killed them and there are no messages from those villagers. I do get those messages from villagers that die from zombies or other enemies, but none of those messages match the names or locations of the disappeared villagers. This happened in 1.15.1.

It also makes me wonder if other mobs or entities are disappearing, too.

@Excited Do you know how you managed to reproduce it? Did you leave and re-enter the area until it did something? (single-player or on a server?)
If you can share some details, maybe I can help figure this out together.

Occurs in 1.13.2. Note that tamed cats do teleport, but tamed parrots do not, when walking on ice.

In case a comment edit doesn't notify moderators, this can be marked as solved (see comment above)

This bug appears to be solved in 1.8.1 pre-3.

Here's proof it works correctly in 1.8.1 pre-3:
The FPS is BAD when viewing item frames but good when looking the other way.

So this can be marked as solved.
I'm sorry for my previous post indicating otherwise.

*note that item models are very gpu-heavy to render compared to regular blocks or entities*

Why is this solved as 'wont fix'?
Is it too difficult or is there another reason?

I understand Villagers are a subclass of Mobs, but Pigs for example keep their rotation, so apparently it is possible for Pigs, why not Villagers? Is there something else that prevents this from working?

The only workaround I see is to place a redstoneclock in the spawnchunk with a commandblock that TPs every villager to their location with a certain rotation. That's kind-a stupid 😞

I made a video of under a minute, it probably takes less time to get if from the video than to ask me for the commands..

Though since you asked:

/playsound random.pop @a

It sounds like it's playing twice (because it sounds different), but I'm not sure.

How do you know this is a duplicate? Is it this same bug?

Also: I mention the sound plays twice simultaneously when powered by a regular source.

I hope it is not intended, it's really annoying having to type the full name while the list of names undoubtedly exists in memory.

Yes, the only emoji that renders for me is the normal smileyface: ☺

Some other high Unicode symbols do render correctly, but most do not as they are not in the bitmapfont.

How to reproduce without third party:

1. Copy an emoji character to your clipboard.
2. Paste it in chat you won't see it
3. Hit Enter
4. You now have an invisible message in chat.

That's not the issue... Read carefully please.

The server is able to receive emoji characters and send them to the clients, however, the clients cannot display these characters. Therefore I suggested that the server should check for these incompatible characters instead of sending them anyway.

In server.properties, change the line that says "force-gamemode=true" to "force-gamemode=false"

Still exists in 1.7.10 single player.

In multiplayer, a player will fall to his death but in single player he will land without falldamage.
