Hmm, I’m trying to find a way to close the issue myself or mark it as invalid and I don’t see that? Sorry for the spam.

Invalid issue, should be closed – I was reading the bedrock table, not the java table. Java table on the wiki is correct. 🤦

This is a bug – this functionality was briefly enabled and then it was later broken. I would like to have that functionality restored. I was able to side-load onto my daughter's M1 air briefly during that window but it was shut off in a future apple update. Apple says the fix requires action from developers so I'm here asking the developers to make that fix. I've bought minecraft a half dozen times (multiple java, switch, bedrock, xbox, etc) but not being able to play bedrock realms worlds with my kids on my M1 is sad, please restore this previously working functionality!

I'm incredibly excited for this. I even set up some page monitoring to detect when spots were open on TestFlight to get added. Having done some play testing I'm super happy. I tested the following configurations so far with flawless results and wanted to report them here as kudos to whomever implemented it:

  • Magic Keyboard + Trackpad

  • "Universal Control" from a laptop nearby that seamlessly switches to and from the laptop and the ipad! (Can finally play bedrock "from" my apple laptop 😉 )

  • USB-C adapter plus wired keyboard and mouse

I couldn't be happier and am very excited for this to land on the main branch so I can use it with my realm. 

I was initially confused by the "full keyboard access" setting which wasn't at all what I wanted but once I realized I could disable that to get the expected behavior I was fine.

Can you please clarify what's working as intended? I have yet to see any keyboards do anything on iPadOS despite there being a whole raft of bindings available in settings. I've tried:

  • bluetooth keyboard (Logitech MX Keys)

  • magic keyboard

  • even a wired usb keyboard via a usb-c adapter

None of them do anything other than input into text chat. I've additionally tried "Full Keyboard Gameplay" on an extended keyboard with a numpad, still doesn't do anything. 

What exactly are the keyboard/mouse settings supposed to before if none of them do anything? 

Unfortunately the other bug is closed as "works as intended" but there's clearly still no support for Magic keyboard on iPadOS. Can you please re-open this ticket or point me to the correct ticket if there's another one that's actually tracking working keyboard support on iPadOS? 

Jay, is there a new bug related to "XBL network unreliability or unavailability makes the whole game unavailable"? If so, that would be good for most of the people who've reported this issue, and if not, I'd suggest re-opening and maybe even changing the description since a lot of the interested people are here.

Also, one thing worth pointing out – iPad OS 13 has a "tab" key on the keyboard by default (this is maybe a new thing?). If so, a lot more users are liable to run into this from now on. Especially since the UI itself specifically tells you to use tab to complete. 

@MissMarzenia: is there another issue that's tracking "text editor/entry" that I can vote/subscribe to as well? I've noticed this lack for a really long time as well and finally got around to investigating why it wasn't fixed and found this issue. 

The store is still very hard to use, not sure I'd consider this fixed. Screenshot attached. Note that the curved corners means buttons in those areas are extremely difficult to click.

Concur. Please re-open this issue. I've been meaning to come back and mention it but forgot until I got @StevenBritton's notification.

Post 1.1 I've experienced this bug again using a bluetooth controller.

NO ONE CLAIMS IT IS RESOLVED IN ANYTHING BEFORE 1.1.

The fix is supposedly available in version 1.1, but iOS users cannot try beta builds so we are at Mojang's mercy and have to wait until 1.1 is no longer in beta. There may be other updates from them with more stupid add-ons that do not fix the bug but complaining here will not fix that.

The bug fix will come to iOS when 1.1 is shipped to all users. If your version number says 1.1, /then/ you can come here and comment that it's not yet resolved then. Until then, we just have to wait.

I doubt they will – this is known to still exist on iOS devices still because 1.1 is not available there yet.

If you had the android beta you could try out the fixed version, but us iOS users will have to wait until 1.1 is finished and submitted to apple which will be who-knows-how-long.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not excited by the preponderance of skin packs either, but it's not even close to true to say that no bugs have been fixed since Jan.

I count approximately 20 in just April/May alone.

I believe it would be technically possible to do Apple betas but TestFlight limits the number of beta users to 2000, iirc.

That would be hard to fairly allocate when there are so many iOS users of MCPE.

That's not surprising. It's only supposed to be fixed when 1.1 is released. The 1.0.x updates seem to be mostly minor in app purchases which is frustrating but not much we can do.

Wait until the final 1.1 is approved in the app store. 😞 No betas for iOS users sadly.

My realm reliably reproduces this bug every time I access a brewing stand. I believe it does it other times too as I frequently find my hotbar rearranged with duplicate items. This is extremely frustrating to not have the proper times selected very minute or more.

Agreed 1.0 is much worse. Was playing with my three kids on a local multiplayer yesterday and all four of us were experiencing it.
