Just tested this in a new 1.16.2 single player world - and all three have a non-zero age when placed by player. So I'm assuming this is now fixed?
Quick note: The title should say 1.16.1, not 1.6.1
I would like to use shield patterns, but the unpredictability of what it will actually look like prevents me from doing so.
I'd be happy with the outside pixels of the banner simply being cropped / hidden - so we see the middle of the banner, not stretched or warped or squashed in any way.
At least that way, we can predictably guess what it will look like before we apply the pattern to the shield.
@Stannya, thanks - just had that pointed out to me as well! I was searching on "nametag", without realising it affected other items in the anvil.
EDIT: Can't see a way to mark it as duplicate myself, a mod may need to do it.
More testing and details on how to reproduce in MC-142076
Couldn't find this issue while searching but a moderator seems to have found it and linked mine as a duplicate (thank you).
I can't seem to reproduce it on 1.12.2, regardless of how many times I toggle full-screen it just doesn't crash. Perhaps Minecraft is interacting with that library differently from 1.13.0 onwards?
This issue was referenced by content creator xisumavoid in a tweet today, here: https://twitter.com/xisumavoid/status/1458917198836109312
Minecraft developer slicedlime replied to the tweet.
I can confirm that this is still an issue (have encountered it myself as well).
