I can confirm that custom blocks do not conduct redstone signals and that this is still an issue in Preview 1.21.20.22, and likely in the most recent release as well.

Just confirmed for 1.20.5 rc-2. Very annoying to have to deal with.
I've also noticed that it doesn't actually change the item's color after giving the tag to it and dying it in a crafting table? Is this just a me issue or do I need to change something within a resourcepack to make this work? I couldn't find any official info regarding this and wasn't sure if it was a different bug.
Can confirm in 1.20.4
This has the potential to break many maps, datapacks, and mc experiences.
One solution could be:
When placing the crafter the block saves the player's UUID to the block's nbt.
Block checks if the recipe is unlocked for the player matching the UUID.
If successful, the block crafts and spits out the items.
It's for usability often times. There are many situations in map and datapack making when you only want a name of an entity to be visible when looking at them. However, the CustomNameVisible tag makes the name visible from far distances and when not looking at them, similar to the text entity and can become inconvenient.
It would be especially convenient if this was fixed for Armor Stands. As someone who created and works with the Armor Statues datapack, it's very inconvenient that armor stands don't show their CustomName by default when looking at them. This is especially problematic and odd considering players can already name Armor Stand items in an anvil, place it and have the Armor Stand retain its item name, then break it and keep the entity name in the item.

This feels like it should definitely be marked as a bug as this is inconsistent with wither breaking sculk blocks to drop xp, but I also believe this isn't currently in-parity with Bedrock edition's mechanics of sculk blocks dropping xp from non-player explosions?
I'd also like to mention that it kind of defeats the purpose of sculk blocks if you need to player to get the xp out of them. (Why make a sculk farm when you can just afk at a mob grinder to get experience instead?)

Yes, as far as I can tell this was fixed in the latest snapshot, 21w05a.

This still appears to be an issue for wandering traders when they drink milk buckets and witches when the drink healing potions (but might need to be made into a separate ticket.)
