I retextured the vanilla music disc "Blocks" with a 256x256 texture. The item in the image is being held by an armour stand, this behavior is also observable in the players hand while in both 1st and 3rd person modes. This was taken in game version 1.20.51

This bug seems to be connected to MCPE-161517

seems to be an issue with D3D12 as when tested with D3D11 the bug disappears providing expected framerates

a temporary solution and quality of life feature would be to add a toggle in the settings to allow users to swap between D3D11 and D3D12

I don't know if this is a useful contribution but i think MCPE-111547 might be related to this

A similarity between these issues is that people with RTX graphics cards and some GTX cards are the ones experiencing the low performance

yeah this bug is sad considering I can get a higher framerate on my 5 year old iPad than a raytracing capable computer with the same resource pack😢

I found out this only happens when the resource pack has a completely transparent texture for the water so it is clear in rt mode.

Why is this issue still a thing? It’s been here for ages now

To make sure this isn't a texture pack that is just out of date, use the default and other texture packs. Report back with screenshots of them.
