I am having the same issue. It started on the 1.13 update and has gotten worse in the 1.14 update. It use to be that the game would freeze and would only allow me to go back to the Xbox one home screen, to allow me to quit and restart Minecraft. This freeze/crash would happen randomly and ever since the 1.14 that time until freeze is getting shorter, now I am freezing after 10 seconds of game time.
So far it is only happening in my survival world that I have been playing on for just over a 1.5 years. When I open and play on creative (not same world as my survivor world is pure and unbroken) I have yet to see a freeze/crash.
I am having the same issue on my realm in bedrock edition on the xbox one. I have done the following in order:
1) I spawned the wither (earned achievement)
2) I defeated the wither (earned achievement)
3) I build a pyramid using the following layout, 9x9 gold, 7x7 iron, 5x5 emerald, and 3x3 diamond with the beacon on top
4) beacon allows me to gain the secondary boost so I power the beacon with a diamond
5) I notice that I am enjoying two effects and the beacon light is shining
6) No achievement is given
7) I then go and work on an underwater temple (earn sleep with fishes achievement)
8) I return and troubleshoot beacon and try the follow:
a) removing one block from each level and then replacing each block
b) I tear down the entire beacon and rebuild fresh
c) I take the beacon top off and replace back ontop
d) I replace the entire pyramid using only iron blocks
e) I try to repower the beacon using a piece of iron
9) In each attempt, the beacon would power and give me the max boost of two effects and the beam of light would work, but the achievement would never trigger.
I play on Xbox One Bedrock, and this is the same for myself.
@Raymond Choi as I said in the description, I was playing XBOX ONE BEDROCK EDITION. I appreciate the extra information, but that does not apply to the situation I described.
I am really confused now Mega_Spud. You close this report of entities disappearing (or despawning) as a duplicate of another case, and on that case (MCPE 21416) you close it as unfixable while misquoting the "crash" effect. On both of these issues being reported, no where is a crash being reported. Both of these are duplicate reporting of the issue, but both of them report that animals are despawning after interaction with the player, after the player either leaves the game or goes to another world. This is a credible issue and will lead to many quitting the game if they cant rely on keeping animals they work hard to breed and use.
I also respectfully reject this response as well. No where is it said that the game "crashes", my issue has been going on for years and it has never involved a game crash. I place my animals in their pens, feed them, breed them, gear them, and when I either come back from the netherworld or reopen the game after leaving, the animals have despawned. Often leaving leashes behind, but all other gear or equipment gone with their disappearance. This is happening in Minecraft Bedrock edition realms with my friends, so far each player in my realm is experiencing the same issue. Again, no crashes are occurring.
I converted my world from XboxOne to bedrock as well, my village is now down to 2 villagers from 8 and I cannot get them to breed or take any food. This is despite the preponderance of doors and proper settings to promote breeding of villagers.
I am having an issue where my animals (Pigs, Cows, Sheep, Horses, and Lamas) are disappearing. First I had them in fenced areas, 5x5 areas, with one gate and no adjacent blocks or methods of jumping out. After loosing all my animals over two days (no remains, no mobs or creepers) even though they are safe inside my base with more than enough lighting, I tried something new. I started tying my animals up with leashes to the fence posts. At first this seemed to work, but then on the 3rd day, half my cows disappeared, one horse disappeared, all my pigs disappeared. My llamas and sheep were fine though. Mind you, these animals are in pens close to each other, and while a horse disappears, the other two with it are still there and unharmed. For the animals that disappeared and were tied to the fencing, the leash was still there tied to the fence, just no animal. I tried to collect the leash from the fence, and it just disappears when I tried to collect it.
These pen areas are roofed / covered, so I know it is not lighting.
This is very frustrating as I use to have a nice collection of animals when I brought this game from the 360 version over to the bedrock edition. Now I cant start a small collection. I am in survival and have never broken that, but trying to survive and not be able to collect animals for breeding and supplies is completely hampering my ability to play at all.
I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding this matter.
(playing on Xbox One, Better together Minecraft version)
@Auldrick, I understand, please dont take my response in a negative way, my intention was to share more information about the problem and the steps I have taken to try and fix it. I am still open to trying new things and looking to fix this bug. One thing I am wondering, is there a cap on the number of creatures within a certain area? The one animal count that has changed throughout this issue, and may be the variable I have not isolated, is my chickens which I hold in an underground room. Each day I butcher the entire flock and then I throw 64 eggs to replenish the flock to grow to be butchered again later on (since I am primarily feeding off chicken since the other animals aren't stable). So sometimes I have few chickens, sometimes I have 20+, if there is a cap on the number of creatures in a certain area or proximety, then this could be the issue... do you know if this could be a factor? I am going to get pictures tonight (at work at the moment) and show the layout of the castle and animals pens, hopefully something will stand out that I am missing 🙂
I do appreciate the help and I hope that either we find the mistake, or the bug is identified and fixed.
I think I will add more information to show that this is a bit different. So the layout of my base is like a castle. My pens are inside the courtyard of the castle, the animals have at least 20 blocks distance to get to be outside the castle, not to mention to get through the fenced-in-area, then the castle walls which are huge and thick, and controlled by redstone gates. Each pen in 5x5 and covered with a roof. Inside each pen in the center is a single stake, to which I have been tying each animal in each pen to. I started this tying of animals because the despawning was so bad, but after two days animals continued to despawn, leaving the leash tied to the stake and the animal missing. I have zero spawns or loose animals anywhere inside the castle walls, so the animals are not escaping, and the evidence of a leash sitting there with no animal really speaks to a depawning issue. Since my original post, I have not lost all my cows, half my llamas, all my pigs, half my sheep, and a couple horses and donkeys. Each pen only holds three of a like animal, and only three are tied to each stake in the same pen. When I can, I will get pictures and add them to this, so you can see what I mean. I have been altering and altering my animal area to try and eliminate any possible reason (I use to have the pens walled in, but I thought maybe the animals were being pushed into walls and dying... I converted to fencing, then I shrunk my 10x10 pens to 5x5 thinking maybe they were to big... After the shrinking, they continued to despawn so I thought about tying them up with leashes... at first it worked on the few I tried it on, it was after I tied up all the animals, that two days later leashes are left and the animal vanished).
I hope this helps.

with last update, this issue has been resolved. Thank you!
I am having the issue as well. I am on Xbox One, I entered the Nether, the game crashed and sent me back to the Minecraft home screen. When I try to reopen the world (I am paying for a realm) either one of two things happens: 1) the message “unable to connect to world” comes up sending me back out to the home screen, or 2) the game loads and I am back in the nether, I try and move and it immediately crashes again.
When I do make it back in, there is zero progress from previous attempts to log in, and I am constantly starting in the same position in the nether.
I have had issues as well, none of my redstone powered things work.
Yes, Long story short: Took my 216mb survival world from Xbox one edition minecraft, uploaded it into the Minecraft (Better Together Update) and opened the 30day trial realm with two other friends. Besides the redstone powered issues, we all have the issue of the left trigger.
Also we noticed that the maps did not come over the same, some came in on the map size ratio that xbox one edition has, but others came in with the 1:1 ratio. We know how to fix that, we just lost maps of explored lands.
I am still not receiving the achievement, now on 1.14.1 edition of bedrock. I have built two beacons fully powered as my previous post states with the same steps in troubleshooting. No achievement awarded.
