MC-157812 When spectatorsGenerateChunks is set to false, spectators won't load chunks that are not currently loaded Confirmed

Yes, and the workaround still works in 1.16.1.

(Just FYI, I've now been using RIME on ibus as my IME for days.)

I have discovered the same thing as @Matthew Strelsky has. Pressing ENTER/RETURN keys does send your input from the IME. However, it also tells Minecraft to send whatever in the chatbox, which is nothing.

@Spottedleaf Thanks, that explains a lot.

I prefer having the old behaviour back, but a naming correction is also good.

Confirmed Nov. 29, 2019, in Taiwan.

According to other users, using VPN connections may solve the problem.
However, not everyone knows how to use VPNs.
Moreover, it's very cumbersome to use VPNs whenever we want to visit the website.

Agree, as it's labelled 'fixed in 1.14.3-pre1', but the behaviour is different than that in 1.13 and should not be named the same.

I know that, look at my report closely.
I intentionally include railway in the screenshots to show that those chunks MUST have been generated and loaded before.

Also can confirm in 1.14.4

Can confirm in Release 1.14.4.

For both 1.13.2 and 1.14, the problem still exists, but the other way around.

In chat, command block UI and sign UI at least. Even if the input method is enabled, special keys (BackSpace, Enter, Arrow keys, etc.) are still caught by Minecraft.
For normal gaming, all keys are caught by both input method and Minecraft.

I'm using Linux Mint 19.1 (MATE), HIME input method and Sun Java 1.8.0_201 to run Minecraft.

Confirmed in 1.13.2 and 1.14.
There is a workaround, type a space on the naming slot, it should reset the name of the item(s).

Can confirm this on 1.14.

Can confirm this on both 1.13.2 and 1.14.
I am using Linux Mint 19.1 (MATE) with Oracle Sun Java 1.8.0_201.

I reproduced this bug in Minecraft 1.13.2 on Linux MInt 19.1 kernel version 4.15.0.20.

Ctrl-C replaced selected text with 'c'.
Ctrl-v paste text with a trailing 'v'.
Ctrl-a replace all text with an 'a'.

All of this happen in chat, command block UI and menu UI such as "Select World" search bar in Singleplayer game menu.

After switching to the right locale, it solves the problem.
