It's happened to me about 4 times and twice I spawned a few blocks from where I saved once spawning me in a pool of lava... I just lost my fortune iii pickaxe and a handful of diamonds which has almost made me want to uninstall since I'm more focused on a project and now I have to sideline everything to focus on lvls and searching for another vein. Please fix this before any other players lose too much!!

I had switched my skin to jpeg png and it still didn't work, but thanks for the tip.

Am using a samsung galaxy j3 prime.
It started at the first 1.8 beta and still affects me to this day and I added the skin I am currently trying to use.

We are a tiny community, they won't pay attention. I'm gonna be making a thread about the same issue.

right, the reason why i call this site tech support is because this is where you report bugs to. i use the term loosely.

for instance. if i pop in Elder Scrolls and the game claims corrupted save data or crashes, and its the only game that does this, i would contact Bethesda's tech support and inform them of the issue. where as if i get a 3 rings flashing on the 360 i'd contact microsoft's tech support for info on how to fix the hardware.

tech support is two fold, reporting bugs to the company (this site) and FAQ on how to play the game (which this site does not do). perhaps there is a better word i can correctly call this site that more clearly fits it? either way i feel that this point is less productive and is more waxing of semantics. i just felt the need to clarify my position on the issue as to why i called the site tech support.

and while my other issue isn't fixed so easily, this question with the maps was and i appreciate the responses and help on the issue; though i do hope that Mojang considers putting this specific glitch back into the game as it makes exploring and not getting lost so much easier lol

i've read the comments in that thread. all of them mention the lag happening while mob are around them and only at night. my lag happens independently of mobs and regardless of the time of day in world. i've been mobbed by Zombies in my world since the update at night, no lag what so ever with both adult and baby zombies in the mob. my moon does not move glitchy, which is another thing that most people in those comments report. my glitch also does not cause my app to crash, it only effects the blocks i'm mining. My character is also unaffected by the glitch, it moves fine even while the blocks are glitching. once there was a creeper within eye sight and i noticed while waiting for the block to un-glitch that the creeper seemed to stutter while moving, but it was only once that i saw this effect on any creatures within my game.

my blocks do not just re-appear. i mine the block, it disappears then reappears 1 sec later then will stay between 10 - 30 secs, then either disappear fully or drop normally.

i have two worlds total, one in survival created in Jan 2013 and one in creative, created April 2013. i have not played the creative world since 6/25 and did not experience this glitch until the 1.6.2 update, which is also separate from majority of the comments in that report which claim to have had the glitch since 1.6.0. i have not tried playing on peaceful as i generally dont make a habit of changing the difficulty of a game just because i get to a hard spot, i started the game on normal and have been playing on normal.

i'll test out peaceful and see if it solves the glitch, though if i didn't want to deal with monsters i'd be playing it on creative.

i just played on peaceful for almost an hour, mining the entire time; and while i found 9 more diamond, none of the Redstone, Diamond, Coal, Cobblestone, Iron, Bluestone or Gravel that i mined glitched. which again is different from the comments in the linked report, as all the people complaining about mining issues in that report stated it glitched while also on peaceful.

so once again i affirm, my issue is not the same as their and is not resolved. while i enjoy mining and exploring, its boring without mobs to add that bit of uncertainty and excitement to the mix.

again i'm stating this issue is not resolved, and it is not a duplicate to what you've linked in the "Issue Links" portion of this work ticket.

given the fact that this site is directly linked in the java app to load the game as a bug and glitch reporting site alludes to the fact that this site is for tech support. as tech support is the place you contact when your game is not working correctly.

i agree that we are all human and that mistakes are made on both parts, but it is still not kosher to respond in the comments "wheres the bug" and close the thread as resolved before the thread originator can clarify what they are asking about, as the post "wheres the bug" is obviously asking for more clarification.

if this marker was originally a bug (a feature which has been in my version of minecraft since i purchased the game in November 2012) then the better response would have been to respond with this info rather than asking for more clarification and closing the issue before i get a chance to respond.

this coupled with how my other issue is being handled, is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth in reguards with how your company handles issues with this game. while this issue may have been an original glitch, my other issue is not and is not marked as resolved, which it is not as my game still glitches while mining.

okay i get an email saying to make my issues in separate posts. i do that and now you lot mark this as resolved saying its a duplicate issue. what sort of crappy tech service is this for a game?

the issue is still there and it makes the product i paid for unplayable. i'd really like a response and a fix to this other than being jacked around. which is exactly what i feel is happening to me on this issue.

edit - and the issue link has absolutely nothing what so ever to do with my issue. my issue is with Mining, while trying to get ores from the ground in under ground caves and has nothing whatsoever to do with mobs.

i do not appreciate being giving the rigmarole like this and will be contacting Notch and Mojang about this.

right. in older versions though, when you removed the map from the wall the green dot stayed on the map. effectively giving you a marker point on the map to show you where your base was located.

with the new update, this feature went away.

my issue was with the green dot disappearing when the map is removed off the wall, which i stated rather plainly in my description. that is where the bug is.

if you guys are going to be tech support for a game, its not very helpful for issues to be cited as resolved when the correct issue thats being reported isnt even discussed. its not only lazy tech support and unhelpful, but is is misleading to consumers.

infact, not only is it lazy, but its also rude to ask a question of "where is the bug" and not wait for clarification from the question asker before marking the issue as resolved.
