Piglins, the upcoming minecraft mob, will attach the playable character, controlled by a human, even when that character has golden armor. Piglins are not meant to do that. Piglins should be your friend when you wear gold. I don't know how much more clear I can be...

99% sure this is intended. If not, this would be one of the most commonly known about bugs.

That's all just rng based. Also, try using /locate instead.
