How come this was this marked as resolved? I can confirm it’s still happening in 1.21.5.
I just ran into this while working on a mod and at first I thought it was my fault, but it turns out that this is (still) just the current vanilla behaviour.
This is not resolved. My old world was called ‘Tallet’s Castle’. We created a new world called my world 2 days ago since the old world was removed. Should I create a new ticket.
Similar to the comment above, I’ve noticed the issue stops when I disconnect from WiFi. I’m using an iPad Pro 11” (m4). I’m not using any resource packs or add-ons.
Ilmango's comment is all well and good, but I can't find a link or a working solution to the problem. Ilmango assumes a large number of Furnaces, but for smaller Furnance arryas like with 8 Furnaces I have not found a solution.
@kingrocco21 that is not a fix, changing your gpu to integrated graphics does improve the input lag but is not the solution. the input lag is still there and is still caused by the v-sync setting, not anything else. if you open your inventory and drag an item around you will see that it lags behind your cursor a bit and this is because of the v-sync.
the input lag is not related to hardware specs, nor has it ever been. it is the forced vsync that is causing the issue. i have asked many times but why cant a toggle be implemented to either enable or disable vsync so the game can be usable? is there an issue in the code preventing this or is it poor development? this is the only feasible solution and until this is implemented users will continue to have issues.
the moderators keep deleting my replies. the input delay issue is clearly related to vsync but has become more noticeable in renderdragon versions. there needs to be an option to toggle off vsync in the game to truly fix the input delay.
We know the issue is related to the vsync setting in Minecraft and if the solution is as simple as adding an option in video settings to disable vsync, why cant that be implemented? It would fix the problem entirely.
I have seen this a couple times on a Realm since updating updating my Windows 10 version to 1.17.30. This is not related to nametagged mobs. In my case, the mobs are from my villager breeder. I know in both cases where it happened, the chunk with my breeder would have been unloaded. One time I had gone to the nether and when I returned the villagers were walking around the area. The other time, I had gone many chunks away to work on some farms.

Of all of the issues with this game, this one makes it unplayable. I spend 20-30 minutes a day trying to log my kid back into her Microsoft account. I've been on hold with Microsoft support for 30 minutes as I'm typing this. I tried calling Nintendo and they said it's not their issue to support. I opened a ticket with Mojang, and was told to go to both Nintendo and Microsoft for support for this issue. All three entities have a stake in this issue, and not one of you seems willing to "own" it and get it fixed. I paid for a product and it's not being serviced properly. Not buying any more of your products if this is what I can expect for both functionality and support.
Same problem here on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite but only with one of my daughter's accounts. I'll send a message to support with that information. I'm telling Mojang this right now, will not buy another Mojang product any time soon after the run around on support for this issue I have received.
I've contacted Mojang who just stated they were focused on "Java Edition Issues", then Nintendo who stated not their problem, then Microsoft who at least checked out the account to ensure no issues, but ultimately stated it was either Mojang or Nintendo's problem. Here I am again, 3 weeks and 50 account authentications later starting over.
If you're going to make a product, and partner it with two other companies, one of you needs to decide who the heck is going to be the single point of contact for support. All I know is that this issue ONLY occurs with Minecraft, not any other game on the Switch, and my Microsoft account is fine - so MOJANG should be who I contact to fix this problem.
This is still a problem. I found that my child had a ton of worlds - 78 to be exact. I think in total somewhere around 2 GB of content. I told her to delete a bunch of the worlds to free up space despite her having 17 GB free on her device and an empty 120 GB SD card. As soon as she did that, she was able to download the content.
To do yourself, log into the game under your child's account, and go into Settings -> Storage. Select the data to delete.
If there is a per account or per game data storage cap that Mojang or Nintendo has imposed that this is related to, then Mojang needs to update the error message to give people some actual idea on how to fix this issue themselves. The error message is dubious and overall insufficient in helping the user, and even the support staff, diagnose the problem without breaking into the source code and searching for it. That's bad error handling.
Me too annoying as I’m half was through building on the plus side I can get some work done and don’t stay up till stupid a clock but want to get back at it now
@violine1101 appearently the information on MC Wiki was wrong. First, I tried it with lapis, but that didn't work. With blue dye, I was able to craft the star. Thank, I will try to change the info on the wiki.

completely agree. parity with java for this would be great.
manually changing the settings in options.txt does not fix the issue and has not worked ever since renderdragon was introduced
