I decided to do some testing, I had re-created the world where I had the game freezing issue , went to the same village and broke the block the bell was attached to, and not the bell itself, and it fixed the issue for this world. I went back to the old save that was freezing and tried this, however it did not fix it on the original save.
Steps to re-produce.
create a world with the seed "1481331594"
Travel to -3343 69 -4172 You will find a village with a well
On this well, locate the bell
mine the block the bell is attached to, so the bell will drop
Pick up bell and store for future use (DO NOT PLACE DOWN)
Play as normal with no freeze/crash
Tested on both Windows 10 and Xbox One. beta 1.12.0.6
I can confirm being around or mining bells causes the crash

I can confirm I am having the same issue. I also have confirmed that breaking the villager bell seems to always make it happen. Tested on xbox one and windows 10
I was having an issue with my spawns as well. It turns out it was drowned dead in a nearby pool of water that was filling the mob cap
Not able to reproduce on my end. Have at least 20 hours in this current beta version

Spawned with a spawn egg. Yes, I renamed the fish with a name tag. Sorry for taking so long to reply....
Didn't start affecting me until two days ago. When joining Lan game hosted by Xbox one, the game crashes on both systems. I hope they fix this. I was getting way into the new update, but after this it makes it not worth playing anymore.

My Ocean Temples are not spawning guardians, or even Elder Guardians for that matter. I still get affected by the mining fatigue. I explored the entire temple via mining and found no mobs of any kind.
Overworld spawns are fine, nether spawns are fine, BUT my mob spawners are still not working in the overworld as mentioned above. I have a skeleton, zombie, spider, and blaze spawners. The blaze spawner is the only one that is working at all.
My overworld spawns are better...but my mob spawners still do not spawn anything

Windows 10 and Xbox one via crossplay. Both players have issue.
I can confirm I am having the same issue on Windows 10 PC. Including on the 1.2.1 update released today. (Sept 26) Have you tested this with gates? I have the same thing happen when opening/closing gates.

Confirmed my spawners in the nether seem unaffected, I have two blaze spwaners that seem to be generating a normal amount of mobs. However I am having an issue where enderman in the nether are not hostile even if attacked.
Why can I not type: Infite is Infinite
