No hostile mobs will spawn in my world, this happened in 1.2 beta build 9 and is still happening.
Edit: when loading into my world from the menu or the nether, if it's night time, mobs will spawn for 1 second then stop completely until I load in again

I've had this issue as well. Even low spawns on a Skeleton Spawner. I have not tried to swap to peaceful yet , I will and update.

It seems like the game spawns a few monsters on the first day, but won't spawn any more. I also noticed that monster spawns I found in in the previous version will still spawn monsters, but at a very slow pace, even in complete darkness. Not sure if it's related.

Same here. This has been happening since at least 1.2.0.31 - really surprising to see the beta end without this being fixed.

Confirmed my spawners in the nether seem unaffected, I have two blaze spwaners that seem to be generating a normal amount of mobs. However I am having an issue where enderman in the nether are not hostile even if attacked.

Can anyone confirm they're getting the bug while at render distance 10 or higher? Just asking because PC Edition has a bug like this that only appears on render distances below 10 (8 is the default on a new install so it happens more than you'd think).

I occasionally find a pocket of 5 mobs usually just creepers and bone archers 3 are usually in the water. i ride around all night on my horse looking for mobs only find the pack of 5 about every other game night, spider spawners and the nether seem to be spawning as normal except seems like more pigmen. tryed it in normal and hard. then reset to peaceful and back, no changes. also every couple nights i find 1 spider and 1 enderman then nothing for a couple nights

It didn’t fix mine and now my chicken farm is going haywaire since the update lol. Chickens spawning everywhere with no breeding limit it seems but mobs still aren’t spawning properly on mine.

We are working on fixing the mob spawners next- just didn't quite make it in for 1.2.1 but it's coming!

My Ocean Temples are not spawning guardians, or even Elder Guardians for that matter. I still get affected by the mining fatigue. I explored the entire temple via mining and found no mobs of any kind.

Nothing spawns in over world mob farms. If they do spawn it like 2 skeletons in a farm that gets 13K+ drops an hour (on console).

There are definitely still some issues with spawning. It seems lately outside has been okay, but I build a completely dark room that should be spawning things and haven't got more than a single spider.
