Not sure if this helps, but I noted that on going through portals from the overworld to the nether, my load time was significantly longer than it should have been, and upon loading the destination I was frequently finding myself in the right location but the chunks around me appeared to have been reset, initially I was worried my world had been corrupted, but then after some time the chunks finally loaded and my nether builds appears all around me. It got me to thinking that if this is happening in a place that used to be solid blocks, could it potentially cause suffocation and death?
I experienced this both before and after updating to 1.20.32, before the update I had only experienced the issue travelling to the overworld, and after that to save suffocation I cleared the blocks out in the overworld where I had been spawned after relogging. After 1.20.32, I entered a nether portal in the overworld and the game hung, after waiting a considerable time I restarted the game and was dumped at my overworld coordinates in the nether, I was falling and landed in a soul sand valley just blocks away from a drop in to lava, i was then immediately attacked by a relentless succession of ghasts and skeletons, only just managing to burrow into the terrain before dying!
Since then I have and will continue to avoid nether travel now until this bug is resolved!
My game crashed while entering the nether, just hung on the loading screen for so long I had to exit and restart the game, when I joined the game it dumped me at my over-world coordinates in the nether which happened to be mid air in a soul sand valley, wherein I was immediately set upon by relentlessly spawning gastos and skeletons! I am now avoiding nether travel completely until this bug is resolved.
I have had this happen a couple of time since updating to 1.20.10, both times i was travelling from the different locations in the nether to the overworld and the game just hung on the “loading terrain” screen, I killed my hung game and logged back in, both times it dumped me back in the overworld underground and 400 blocks or so from spawn (in roughly the same location and depth), the first time in a dark cave where I luckily managed to avoid being killed by a creeper and then dug my way up and out, the second time I logged in to being suffocated in stone but was able to mine my way out of it and dig back to the surface.
Update:
After some checking, it appears that when logging back in from the crash, i am being dumped to my last nether coordinates in the overworld.
This is still happening on 1.19.71
This issue is on Dedicated server and a testing world running directly on my iPad Pro
I sheered the naturally spawned hive and the bees did come out but it didn’t drop any honeycomb, the crafted haves had no honey to sheer or bottle so I broke them by hand and no bees came out, so it looks like all my bees in the crafted hives disappeared.
Since the world files are too large to attach, I have created a Google drive with my world zipped on it, versions 1.17, 1.18 & 1.19.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZGLiaSVhxNR-wQvRFoDxmbpCnHMO44jO
unfortunately i am unable to upload it as it exceeds the maximum file upload size of 10mb... the worlds db files are ~300mb in size.
This is still an issue on 1.19.1 BDS, I can play from my iPad and join my sons world on the Xbox and the hunger bar stays filled for a long time, if I switch to my BDS the hunger bar depletes super quickly!
This is still an issue on 1.18.2
This issue still exists in 1.18
I also have this issue in 1.17.41 bedrock dedicated server and IOS single player worlds, creative and survival
The picture was taken from my iPad Pro on a local single player creative testing world (a super flat), I also encountered this bug when connecting to my long term survival bedrock dedicated server, both are on 1.17.41. The dedicated server is a multilayer server for me and my son.

You can also see this behaviour by placing a target block between a container and a comparator, the comparator cannot read the contents of the container
This is still happening on the latest version
I switched to using an Xbox one controller because of this issue so haven’t really had problems since, I have now tested my myfi controller and it appeared to be working ok, so the issue appears to be resolved...
I just had this happen again in survival, I was moving my iPad and I accidentally went in to the emotes screen when I touched my iPad screen, my controller then stopped responding and I had to exit the game to get it working again.
This is still happening on 1.16.50
While loading from the nether to the overworld in 1.21.1 it took about 30 seconds to load, then it dumped me inside the obsidian portal blocks! Luckilly I was able to mine my way out!
