Try The mace while falling from Y = 400, then u will notice lag because game is rendering the entities and processes their behaviour ( i have sd 870 with 6gb ram ) when u get close to the ground and mobs appears then u click a mob in split of second u won't deal any damage to its like its hitbox dosen't exist at all , then a lag for split second then new Died! Screen and so on
