This also seems to break the hand animation - it doesn’t play when you are swapping an item into the saddle/body slot if the client fails to realize there is already one.

Do note that there is a distinction between “Open” and “Working as Intended”.
Since the spawnMonsters game rule works different from the spawnMonsters server property, and that this wasn’t disclosed in the snapshot, I think it is fair to assume it is a bug.
Unable to reproduce, the game rule works as expected for me.

Since Light blocks are in the #replaceable tag, it’s fair to assume that Light blocks should disappear when blocks/piston heads are pushed into its position.
